Class of 32
Hello, my name is Kane. I'm class of 2032. I want to be the best guard and shooter in my state. Ultimately, I want to play college hoops.

Hey Kane! I know you're all about the game, so here's some advice to keep in mind as you play: Being a great basketball player isn’t just about scoring points. A lot of kids focus on getting the ball in the hoop, but if you really want to stand out, there are other things you can do that make a big difference. You can make an impact with your defense — putting in extra effort to stop your opponent, helping out your teammates, and hustling after loose balls. Think of basketball as more than just shooting. It's about playing smart, like knowing where to be when you don’t have the ball, blocking out opponents, and being ready to make the next move. Focus on what you can control, like giving your all on defense or moving without the ball. And don't worry too much if you miss some shots — that happens to everyone. Just remember, basketball is a team game, and a lot of the time, you're playing without the ball. How you move, how you help your teammates, and how hard you work on defense can change the game. Stay positive, trust in the work you're putting in, and enjoy the journey! You’ve got this.
BLUEPRINT: MY COLLEGE ALL-AMERICAN SUMMER PROGRAM
I recently posted a couple reels on IG/Tiktok called "MY COLLEGE BASKETBALL ALL AMERICAN BLUEPRINT". It picked up a lot of steam so I thought I'd outline it here in a post & then create a whole course with the in depth details, drill & reps breakdown & step by step guide to exactly what I did for the 6 months leading into my jr season. My Soph college season I had a good one, I was the starting guard & avg 15ppg but did not get named to the All-Conference team (which disappointed me). So I was highly motivated to improve & our other All-American guard was graduating so my coach wanted me to play point guard full time & told me I had the keys to run this team. I felt that pressure & here is quick outline of what I did from April-Oct. 3 Phases, 2 months each: Phase 1 (April/May)- After the season ended around March 1 I took about a month break. During this phase I began a heavy lifting program to build up my foundational strength. Lots of Olympic lifts (Squats, deadlifts, bench, clings, etc). No that much cardio or speed/agility work yet. My goal was to build strength for 8 weeks going into the "Jump Attack" program I was starting at the end of May. For on court, it's Important to note here for most small colleges they bring in recruits at this time to play pickup games. I did not play any pickup basketball, I wanted to hone in on my specific skill set so I just got up tons of shoot reps & lots ball handling drills. I wanted to push my handle further than I ever had before knowing I would be the full time point guard next season. Phase 2 (June/July)- I had to get a full time job on campus as the garbage man! Tough gig but I'm a married broke college student so I adjusted to it. My work schedule was Mon-Fri 8am-4pm on campus & we lived in campus apartments next to our gym. So I had almost no travel time riding a bike around campus. I did 2 a day training before & after work. 6am-7:30am I did my hardest workouts because I knew my energy would be gone after 8hrs of picking up trash & cleaning toilets. I did my weight room & Jump attack program at 6am. After work I'd come home to eat, take a quick nap & get back up to the gym at night around 6:30p for my on court skills work for another 1.5hr. At night I focused a lot on stretching & mobility in my hips. I saw huge gains during this phase in my athleticism.

The Real Win in Youth Basketball
People often tell me my son’s a natural on the court, but to be real—confidence and skills don’t just happen overnight. He’s still learning to put in the work, push through the tough moments, and stay focused. It’s not easy. Some days he’s locked in, and other days, he’s just not feeling it. But that’s the process. As a parent, I’m here to encourage, guide, and sometimes push him when he needs it. Coaches play a huge part too, but it’s a team effort—parents, coaches, and players all working together. Sometimes, I've found there’s a lot of finger-pointing between coaches and parents when things don’t go right, but that does not help anyone. It is important to focus on building confidence in these kids, on and off the court. Youth athletes participate in sports for fun and friendship, but they will inevitably make mistakes and forget what they've learned in practice. When this happens, they often feel they have disappointed their friends, parents, and coaches. It's important they feel we love them the same, regardless of their performance in a game. At the end of the day, basketball is about more than just the game. It’s about mental toughness, teamwork, and life skills. Let’s work together to help these young athletes reach their potential, not just as players, but as people.

Stepping onto the court with faith, not fear 💪🙏
Hi Confident Point Guards! I'm thrilled to join this amazing community. Like some of you, I've faced those pre-game jitters and self-doubt. My son does too and he is the point guard in the house. However, God didn't give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-discipline (2 Timothy 1:7). so we are determined to turn our anxieties into fuel for greatness. Excited to join you all and helping my son grow stronger, sharper, and more confident with every dribble, pass, and shot.

Carlos from DFW, TX. My young son is skilled at ball handling and passing making him a point guard despite having challenges with focus and emotional control. I’ve supported him from the start and joined with the hopes that we both improve and overcome any obstacle. While I only played high school basketball, I believe I know how to guide him and push the right buttons while God completes the process of doing the part we can't take care of. We’re on a mission to build character!
