@Stembile Mugore I am so proud of you ! It’s not easy starting something new or breaking a bad habit. I think that’s why Paul says it’s a race we are in till the end. I too haven’t found the exact right time and battle diseases that give me good and bad days. My habit is to be alone with God whenever I can everyday. It’s never the same time but it is consistent and it’s the best part of my day. Just keep doing what you’re doing and I know the Lord will bless you for it.

@Marie Green I love your persistence. I am inspired to never give up on what’s important and find away. You certainly must have heard/ listened to that still small voice. So happy for you
Fear
I love when God emphasizes something in multiple ways. In my Bible devotional teaching on different kinds of fear, it made me realize that fear of the unknown can stop me in my thoughts before it even becomes an action. (Ie) to share the gospel with someone you don’t know or offer to help someone when asked. Then your text asking us to reflect on a fear or doubt hit home. The Lord wants me to see why I’ve become a shut-in. Thank you Jesus for opening my eyes and pray I will do something to act on it. 🙏🏻

Pastor Ghosted
How do you pray or support a pastor who supposed to be the shepherd in the church congregation refuses to make a home visit to see how you’re doing? I feel like I been written off and abandoned.

Melvin. I’m sorry you feel abandoned by your shepherd. It certainly isn’t right especially if you’ve requested their visit. I hope large or small they have a ministry to pray for and visit those who are unable to get out but know that you are part of a praying community and God has not abandoned you. I pray you have peace in the presence of God.
Church
I haven’t been to church since my diagnosis in 2017 that knocked me for a loop. Told it was rare, incurable and treatment made me sick. I started to drift away from my church family, with whom I was very active, to barely seeing them but a few times a year. I’m happy to say that this challenge has brought me back to life. The Lord has been speaking loud and clear and I went to church today. It was like I never left. Gods beloved are the best people on this earth and we need more of them. God bless you all with renewed life and insight as we go deeper.

@Elaine Worlds yes they were very gracious and welcoming. It was wonderful to worship in unison rather than alone too. My next goal is to get back to attending our women’s book club. I’m an introvert by nature which I’m trusting God to change. Thanks for your encouraging words.
my introduction
Hello my name is Kelly, I am 54, happily married, have three sons, and live in Georgia. I joined here, and the prayer challenge because over the last two years i have been struggling with my faith. Last year i was diagnosed with cancer. I underwent surgery, and am cancer free. but have heart issues, and some other complications due to having had cancer, and am more vulnerable to getting a secondary cancer. I also have had kidney stones, double infection, due to a blocked kidney from one of the stones, ileus, Gastroentestrotis, trouble with my veins, and possible auto immune disease. i was just in the hospital earlier this week again. All of this constant pain and struggle had made me feel like the Lord does not care, so i am here to try and regain my faith. Blessings, Kelly

Hi Kelly. I have empathy for you. I was diagnosed in 2017 with Amyloidosis and HCM which have no cure. I underwent chemo and on medicine for life. I have six children and a wonderful husband of 46 years. I went through a variety of emotions but thanks be to God I’m still here and want to grown deeper in my faith because that’s what gets me through. I’m 67 yrs old but have lost some of my mobility. I started thanking God for what I have and can still do. Stay positive, and pray, pray, pray. God absolutely doesn’t give us more than we can handle but the devil tries! God bless!

Hi Kelly. Just checking in. Life can be overwhelming and it feels like you’re drowning. I thought I’d die when my kids were teenagers. I’ve seen the Lord answer prayer and they are well adjusted productive adults who now worry about me. I’m sure God has it well in hand. He loves you. Be blessed ❤️🙏🏻
