What's your sample library or libraries of choice?
Hi everyone, This has been a really great group to hear all of the wonderful music being created all over the world, & since we're all here to help one another & lift each other up, I'm just wondering what sample libraries everyone's using to create their music.

Having classical music background and and being very careful about details in instruments I’ve been using Vienna Library for about 10 years now and it’s always my first choice - great variety of articulations, professional quality of sound etc. but it takes a while to set everything up. If I have to go quickly I’d choose EW or Spitfire (I only have a Studio version but layering with another libraries usually does the trick). What I found out throughout the years is that the more money I spent the more options I have and the more difficult decision, which one to choose, occurs since all of the libraries I’ve tried have their pros and cons. But VI is my go to library if I want to make something very detailed and I’m willing to put ridiculous amount of hours into production. Although effects are astonishing!
Technical question
Hi all, I’m about to switch from MacBook to PC and I was wondering if you have any suggestions what should I pay attention to. I mean less obvious things than gazillion of RAM and CPU that will fly me to the moon. I’m not very advanced in technical world so talk to me like I’m 6 years old 🙃 thanks in advance!

@Kade Jones thanks a lot for this long response! I’d definitely look for some YT videos about the topic. It’s a bit like asking about “which library is the best” and I’m sure after a while I’ll be able to figure out what’s most needed for me. Great suggestions, thank you so much again!

Hello everyone, I’m Filip, professional cellist, arranger and aspiring composer. I’ve started composing to picture about two years ago, taking my time to develop my skills on that field. 30 years on stage playing someone else’s music gave me pretty good insight and now I’m ready to start new adventure creating my own music. I’m excited to join your community and get to know you. All the best, Filip
