What are you reading?
Lots of people in the intros thread said that they liked reading so I thought we should have a bookish thread! 📖 What are you reading at the moment? Are you enjoying it? Didn’t you love it when…? Let us know! Please make sure to clearly mark spoilers if you’re going to post details about books!

@Alex H I loved that book. So much so that I stopped in the middle of what I was reading when my library hold for the sequel (Bookshops & Bonedust) came up. Not sure if it's possible, but I'm enjoying that one more!

@Krista Jameson I really enjoyed The Music of Bees, I read it last year with my bookclub. It's set not far from where I live so I could visualize the story so well! Love to know what you thought of it after finishing it.
German anyone?
I have a big interest in the German Language for fun and also a firm belief that learning a new language is a good start for keeping my mind active and for reasons other than that. I have had 2 exchange students from Germany, I have visited Germany and my husband has German heritage. Is there anyone here who knows the language?

Hi! I am also of German heritage, my mother speaks close to fluent German so I grew up hearing and speaking a few sentences, but never well enough to have a conversation. I took German in college and was an exchange student in Vienna, Austria. I find that my conversational German still holds many years later though my written German has never been great though I would love to practice (both speaking and written).
📣 Show me your pens! 📣
I’m not the most knowledgeable about pens, but thanks to my pen-nerd girlfriend I seem to have started a collection. 😆 So I’m interested, what are your favourite pens to journal with? Do you use different pens in different journals or for different purposes? I wanna know! Here’s my accidental collection of “can’t live without” pens. From left to right: 🧡 Orange Lamy Safari, blue ink, for general-purpose writing 🖤 Black Lamy Safari, black ink, for general writing in black 💚 Green Lamy Safari (I know, it’s a bit of a theme), blue ink, for writing in French 💙 Sailor Fude de Mannen, 40 degree nib, black waterproof ink, for ink sketching 🩷 Uniball One, black gel pen, for journal layouts and doodles

Oh dear, you're talking to my heart here. My dad sold office supplies for most of my life and I have a DEEP love and appreciation for pens so I'm not sure that all of mine would fit into one photo... 👀
June layout
I’ve had an ongoing conversation with myself about what my monthly Bujo layout should look like and contain. I decided that the monthly spread is only helpful if I will use it! I wanted to share mine. Do you use a monthly spread? what does yours look like?

@Dawn Kenny The stickers were a gift from a friend, I think she got them at a Kawaii store because the packaging is in Kanji. I've tried doing a calendar layout but I get... impatient :D and then unhappy when things would change so that's why I started doing events in a list style. With a kid in middle school I feel like sometimes I need MORE space than even that though.

@Tamara Temple Thank you for sharing. I confess I haven't ever looked at the bullet journal website. I feel like I should make that a goal this month 😆

I’ve been thinking about doing a similar prompt to ask myself the same three questions every day for 30 days. (What gave me energy? What zapped my energy? And what did I learn? Prompt from Struthless) I am on a new career path and still feeling a bit like I am on uncertain ground. I’m hoping that this will give me a clearer view of if I’m on the right track or if I need to make some adjustments.
