WANTED: Self-Check In Solution
Dear All, @Olivera Semiz-Cerge is evaluating the option of a self check-in solution with minimal staffing at the reception due to cash-related issues. What kind of key-solution system are you using? Olivera, this company might be a good option to explore: https://www.cloudbeds.com/guest-engagement-software/ - Based on the info on the website, they already use AI in some modules - so localization in Serbian language maybe not an issue. Another option could be https://hotelbird.com/en/products/online-check-in/ I have posted the request on Linkedin HERE - I will keep you posted. Good luck. Radka

Yes, give them my contact
Booking.com and 4-scale rating
Check this video > I recorded it via LOOM, because I wanted to test it if this app can be used for my purposes. Learning curve - no, this is not for me (because I would need to have another subscription - and I spend almost 300 € monthly on bunch of other solutions including ZOOM) :D The video is worth it. https://www.loom.com/share/cbf0a6f46b004a5c80009dc993b7113a?t=3 What is your rating on B-com and Google? Is it better, the same, or worse than your own reviews? Share it with us!

@Zuzana Bielikova thank you for comment. Do you think this helped to increase review numbers for your hotel and for how long it worked? Do you still practise this?

@Zuzana Bielikova yes, I agree.
MY WIN IS YOUR WIN and vice versa!
Every single year I invest between 197 $ and 12k $ to education and mentorship. It started in 2014 with Mariah Coz and her small online course worth around 300 $. One year later, I went with David Kirš to see developments in the Czech Republic. In the following years, I mastered my email marketing on autopilot but was stuck to show my face online. I was able to speak live in front of a full class of students and my clients, but the camera? OMG. I was so terrified! In 2019, I invested over 12k $ in other Maria's programs. It was a year-long program full of mentorship, private community with tons of inspiration about how I could move my business to the next level. Before Covid even hit us so hard, I started hosting my own webinars and live streams. The investment of 12K $ really pushed me to step outside my comfort zone. March 13, 2020, and the German-Czech borders are closed. Covid is here… and I was online live streaming with my clients, my prospects, my fan club… and I created the first online training based on Maria's online courses. In 2020, I was not ready to offer a high-ticket mentoring program. It took me 18 months to move on. In November 2022, I launched my very first mentoring program. First, I wanted to go international, but again, I was playing small. So I started with the Czech & Slovakian community of hoteliers. One year later, I launched the upgraded version of my mentoring & implementation program to all hoteliers around the globe. Hitting almost 100k € generated in 18 months in 1:many and 1:1 mentoring, consulting, and coaching. In March 2023, I invested another 3K $ in Jake Wurzak's program. And two days ago (EDIT - it was in April 2024), I enrolled myself in Cornell University! I've been dreaming about doing some certifications since 2005! It took 19 years! 🥰🥰🥰🥰 Cornell University, here I come! If all goes well, I will get my first certificate in 6 months! And it IS NOT a Revenue Management course. I decided to invest in Asset Management.

My wins??? I am satisfied for the decision to move forward and not to be stucked with small or huge obstacles, and I do have them a lot! 😀
Questions for Marketing
I have few questions after the training we attended today: 1. I have both FB and IG accounts, but nothing or rarely something was posted in last few years. Should I use this accounts or open new ones? 2. Who should run and maintain FB and IG accounts: marketing agency or hotel stuff? What would be the average cost I should pay to the agency on monthly level for, lets say, one post weekly? 3. How to start with reviews on website (technical question)? Do I need help from site provider or I can do it by myself? 4. Stupid question: Where do I find META BUSINESS AND BUSINESS MANAGER (are this 2 different applications or one)? Do I need to open it or it is part of FB already? 5. Finally and most important: a) is the running FB and IG a must nowdays or I can live without it? b) what is average % of increase of occupancy/revenue I can expect after running the accounts for a few months?

WEEK 38 - Be Flexible 🫶
🇨🇿 Verze níže ________ This week is marked by significant changes and unexpected events. In the Czech Republic, there are floods, and the situation in many places is very critical. The same applies to northern Austria in the Vienna region and southern Poland near the Czech border. In the alpine areas, the jet stream has brought the first snowfall—somewhat earlier than usual. What does this mean for us hoteliers? Maximum flexibility. Flexibility has been our constant companion since COVID-19, practically without a break. Being flexible in responding to demand, being flexible in handling unexpected cancellations. Keeping costs under control and knowing how to manage them when things aren’t going as we planned or envisioned. Be prepared—that should be the motto for this week, in my opinion. What will you focus on this week? What is your priority? Share your "intention" for the week and ideally what outcome you expect from it. I’m looking forward to your comments! Toast to Your Success! Radka

I had one guest coming from Poland by car. When he realized that the weather disaster is coming, in the middle of his trip, he returned and went back home. His reservation was one od the few coming from BE, with NR rate. He asked for understanding and not charging his account. Of course we didnt charge and of course we need to be flexble and help each other in this extreme situations, in fact, we need to be as such every day!
