Favorite qualities in a gi?
I'm thinking about designing the first Because Jitsu Gi, but want to get some feedback from yes-gi enjoyers what features/qualities you most look for in your battle jammies? Drop your ideas below! ⬇️🥋⬇️

What are the general feelings on inner prints and custom Gi bags? Either of those change your guys' interest level in a perspective gi purchase?

@James Mackinnon I think 350 is the sweet spot.
What do you do outside of Jiu-jitsu?
When you aren't strangling or being strangled, what do you do for hobbies and/or work? I create all sorts of content, myself! Memes, podcasts, books, audio books. I also love to Onewheel 🤙🤙

@Tanner Sullivant That's great! Self perpetration, I love it.

@James Alexander What do you mostly shoot? Weddings I'd guess?
Breakdown Guidelines
Welcome to the Breakdown Requests category! Here you can post a video you would like to have technical analysis on. To keep the community growth-focused, please adhear to the following guidelines: 1) Use either YouTube or Vimeo url links in the "Attachment" Paperclip option when posting. (Local hosting isn't available yet on Skool) 2) Only post Breakdown Requests of your own training/competition matches. Do not request Breakdowns of other competitors for your own benefit or to try and gameplan against them. 3) If you would like to provide technical analysis or insights into a video that is posted, do so with courtesy and respect. The goal is to build people up, not to tear them down. Let's all help each other grow together 🤙🥋🤙

@Paige Mercurio You're definitely going to run into those guys. Heck, Tim Kennedy does that sorta stuff to me too! Ha ha. The stronger they are, the less you want to bring your center of balance close to theirs. That being your hips. The further you keep your hips from theirs, the heavier it will be for them to lift you due to basic principles of leverage. Those compression style passes are best suited to people closer to your size/strength or smaller. As they get bigger and stronger, less strength/weight reliant controls will work. That's just the nature of the beast.

@Jason Palumbo nice to meet you, Jason! Happy to have you on 🤙
What your favourite takedown/throw
Personally I come from judo (just got my orange belt let's goooo) so Uchi Mata would be my favourite but what's yours, if it's a judo throw I would be happy to help any form mistakes/questions.

I saw a LOT of Uchi Matas this weekend in Vegas. It's a vital one that works a lot, for sure. I also watched Bia Misquita counter it perfectly. So, it may be one of the throws in competitive Jiu-jitsu that will be getting evolved upon in the next couple years. For myself personally, I like low risk stuff like snap downs, off balancing, foot sweeps, simple singles and body locks. Of course, half the time I'll just pull guard too... soooo... take that with a grain of salt 😅
