Share your progress for your May 31st Goal!!

Just hit my goal of going from 240lbs to 238lbs today! At the beginning of the week, I really thought it was out of reach. I had actually gained 3 pounds, plus I decided to let myself have a bag of chips AND a frosted honeybun over the weekend. For context, I had this idea in my head that in order to lose weight, I needed to have a highly restrictive diet. So for months, I actively fought against my cravings for months. But I’m really thankful this group has allowed me to reset how I plan to achieve my goals, and to have fun while doing so. Now I’m looking forward to the next milestone! If anyone else is also feeling a little discouraged, definitely keep pushing! I promise all your work and dedication isn’t in vain!
Setting Goals and Celebrating Wins
Hey all! I recently joined this community and wanted to share a couple of breakthroughs I’ve experienced so far. Initially, I joined the group with the expectation of naming a few goals, and liking a post here and there in hopes that I could get some more motivation to start my fitness journey. But in the last couple of workshops, I got way more than I bargained for. For starters, I quickly got to walk through my main goal of losing 3lbs of body weight by May 31st, and long-term to lose 100lbs and get to my goal weight. But the sessions really helped me dig deeper and discover more clearly what my goals were and clearly design a plan for how to achieve them. It took a moment for me to really sit with myself but I eventually decided that I’d achieve my goals by: (1) being intentional about dieting and exercising on my own terms. Really taking ownership of my fitness decisions (2) Being social and willing to share my experience and celebrate the wins and accomplishments in this group and providing encouragement to others who need it! (Consider me a walking hallmark card for anyone that wants a nudge of wholesome encouragement) And (3) Being grateful for my health and just having the privilege of moving and improving my body. It’s a privilege I value and I’m choosing to honor it in my life. You see my more detailed plan in the dream catcher linked here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/u/0/d/138WUNWQhhwZyAkAlAax_Q7pwhPmDOxrtkz8eqqtAdfI/htmlview And feel free to take a stab at crafting your own goal(s). Seriously though, if you haven’t fleshed out your goals or gone through all the steps of the course you should! And definitely try and make time to come to a workshop! I doubt I would have actually taken the time to think about what I truly want from myself in this experience mucking about on my own! Keep crushing it!
