Thanks for the reply, Colin. I watched a few review videos on youtube (with no ties to FlowHive). I can definitely see the pros that it offers for a first time beekeeper but I'm not sure the cost model would sustain multiple hives. We inherited all the tools to extract and separate, so still on the fence with this one. The biggest thing I liked about it was the minimum amount of disturbance to the hive.

We are still very new to the area and haven't made many connections, much less bee connections. I'll continue to do some research but will probably roll with what is in place now. Appreciate the feedback.

@William Simmons Do you have an idea on when this might happen? I only ask cause I have a lot to learn, and I "think", I need to start taking action soon due to the weather getting warmer. Maybe that's not the case.

@David Miller We aren't there yet but that's part of our long-term plan. Bees were already here but the order is (per the wife), chickens, goats and then cattle and donkey(s)
