What I learned while practicing my copy
It has been a few weeks since I am busy with the copywriting courses. I have watched the videos, took notes. When I did not understand something, I asked ChatGPT. After consuming hours of high value content, it was time to our my skills into practice. While watching the videos, I had already written a first email. But now it was time to craft some more. I started writing about businesses I already knew or where suggested in the exercises. It resulted in Beautifully crafted emails. Also, I practiced my secundairy skills. I learned to use Carrd since Kajabi and ClIckFunnels are paid. Used Canva to generate images with AI. But if I want to build more landing pages, I should learn how to use Canva because Carrd is only limited to 3 landing pages. Discovered then when you want to implement automations in MailChimp, you need to upgrade your plan. I will do that when I reach 1000 subscribers. When I post my copy, I also post them on my social media and I get always get positive reactions. But last time I wrote an email and my aunt detected that I used AI. She advised me to always double check when using Chatgpt and eventually write my final copy in my own words. I am afraid that when I start writing copy for companies, they detect me using AI and that might hurt my credibility. I am not saying using Chatgpt is bad. Just like our coach said. AI will never replace copywriters. But I have to say that if you participate in writing contests or if y ou're in college, its forbidden to use AI. I always write my blogs and books without the help of AI. Yes I also want to mproducts y the traditional way with writing. And on the side sell digital products. I strive to become the most succesful copywriter in my country. Aside from approaching international companies, I want to deliver copy for local businesses too. I want to make copywriting popular in Suriname. But, there are some obstacles. Most people dont have a creditcard and you dont have people who sell digital products. And I know only 3 companies that take email marketing seriously. That are The Kuldipsingh Group, Surinaams Bijbelgenootschap en Tune Creative Studios. I approached 2 of them to improve their email marketing strategy, but they did not respond. So how will i solve these obstacles? Well, a lot of companies in my country use WordPress for their website. I could use that to create landing/sales pages for them. Or membership websites with course content in it. Payment methods? Just configure it with Surinamese e-wallets. You can connect the payment gateway with Woocommerce. Believe it or not, Suriname is an untapped market. Now I need to talk to the people to create digital content. And just generate traffic to the website. Also, a few days ago I discovered its so easy to reach out to businesses on TikTok. Because their algorithm automatically let businesses come into your feed. Only thing you have to do is to send them a message.r And you dont have to use an outreach template. Just like our coach said: find out what they need and personalize your outreach.
