OpenAI's SORA now available - today
OpenAI has launched today its flagship video generator, SORA. It's meant to be best in class, but we shall see. https://openai.com/index/sora/ Try it out for yourself folks! Edit: There is a massive influx of traffic right now and they are being deliberate about who they let use it. Be patient and come back again a few times. I'll be cracking it right open and giving you a breakdown as to what is good or bad about it. This video will be posted to this channel either today or tomorrow. I want you guys to feel that The Lost Futures will give you info on the most cutting edge synthographic methods as they break. I am part of about 20 different groups that I distill all the info from and give to you guys.

I got half way through the launch video earlier and was like, are they all just sitting around in Sam Altman's kitchen or what?! I will give Sora a crack over the next few days. Looking forward to your findings!!
Flux model LORA face training
I am working on probably the most enormous campaign of my life right now for a New York agency. (Sorry I've been a little quiet but this is been consuming all my time and focus. Following tomorrow I'll be back on deck) But I thought I'd share with you some Keyframes that I developed using a Lora trained on my own face. I'm going to skill you guys up on how to do this technique. The Flux model blows everything out of the water. Those phone apps you get where they make an AI of your face are fisher price toys. This stuff is the real deal. We are living in a whole new reality my friends. Can't wait to share with you what I'm working on right now, it's the best piece of work I've ever made.

Holy shit this stuff looks epic!! It reminds me of Monty Python meets Pink Floyd meets Salvador Dali. Hope you smash it with the campaign!!
Cyberdelic Hyperloop course goes LIVE next week!
Hello Cyberdelic Hyperloopers! We will be dropping the first module of the Cyberdelic Hyperloop course on Friday If you haven't signed up yet, I am offering this course to my first 108 students for the drastically reduced price of $108USD. Before you sign up though, i'll share with you a conversation I had this morning I had with a client that I met on a filmmaking forum group in Sydney. He was looking for someone who was an expert in AI visual design, and was immediatly pummelled with comments from people saying "Ai ArT iSnT aRt! YoU aRe SatAn!!111" I quietly pipped in and said "hello sir, I am a master of synthography and I can take care of all your needs." We had the convo this morning and lining the job up next week. Clean as hell, and I can charge a hefty rate for it - but then, in comparison to a whole VFX team, its a fraction of the cost. I want all of my students to be doing the same as me. In time, I want to develop some kind of network or DAO that can handle the workflow, because let me tell you, the demand is really starting to grow now that people are seeing what kind of results they can get from a much more streamlined and quick workflow. And synthography is the answer. If you want to be one of my first 108 students in Cyberdelic Hyperloop sign up now, and we will be kicking things off next FRIDAY the 13th. I will be dropping one module every few days, so we can all have a change to test out the material in real time. So head on over to our classroom now and sign up! https://www.skool.com/thelostfutures/classroom ---- Students here now have been so eager to get on board and it's phenomenal - and I cant wait to show you all my secrets. In the meantime, feel free to start your accounts in https://civitai.com/ and https://lumalabs.ai/dream-machine These are the two primary tools you will be using to develop your hyperloop. Also, download and install Davinci Resolve, a super powerful FREE editing tool that you'll be building your loops in.

So I've been using Seeart up until this point. I think the LoRA there works with the overall high vibe tone I'm aiming for with my fantasy series. Here's the same prompt as the one above using the Seeart Infinity LoRA.

@Luke Burton yep
Welcome to The Lost Futures
G'day! I'm Luke Burton, founder of The Lost Futures, and welcome to my Skool page. I am an artist, composer, filmmaker and director/producer with 25 years experience in cross discipline. In my 'corpo' life, I have worked directly with Google, Kathmandu, Suntory, Nat Geo, Lonely Planet, World Nomads and many others across countless campaigns. In my 'underground' life I have been an artist and performer for many years and have done shows at Dark Mofo festival and countless shows across Australia. I currently do work with Awesome Soundwave, the live techno label owned by Carl Cox and Christopher Coe. The Lost Futures is my current, on-going art/film/music project but I am also using it as a vehicle to help educate, inspire and lead by example by showing my processes across all disciplines in real time. ---- Here, we’re diving into the deep end of creative chaos, from the wild techy stuff to the raw, real principles that keep it all grounded. Here’s what I’ll be serving up and a little about me: 🎨 Synthographic art My workflows and how to craft my signature Cyberdelic Hyperloops. Right now I reckon AI and its employment is some of the craziest shit you can imagine. It's controversial, everyone has an opinion, but I know one thing is for sure. There's no way I could make any of the work I do right now *without* AI. The process of psychologically interfacing with the machine system is part of the art in my view, and ill be going into great detail on this topic, and most importantly, show you how I make it all. 🎶 Sound wizardry Composition, synthesis, sound design, and all the sonic insanity you could imagine. Here I will be doing all kinds of breakdowns across the compositional processs - I am largely electronic but a lot of the principles apply to any genre. From gear tutorials to synthesis insights through to developing music language and the importance of building a musical pallete to draw from. 🎬 Editing & filmmaking Especially doco-making because real stories hit different.

@Luke Burton Thanks Luke! TBH some of the AI art I've been experimenting with so far I'm super happy with. Way better or on par with what any human could muster up (certainly better than what I could do). The problem I've found with it is the consistency.... even using the same prompt twice results in a completely different output. Or, AI just adds a random detail because it doesn't understand basic common sense. Here's two stills I've made of the main character from my series that illustrate this (I think). Anyway, I'm looking forward to seeing what we can do with the flux model! (time travel?).

The Psychology Of The Edit
I am going to share with you a podcast that I made with one of my close friends Maia Dal Berger, we are both editing nerds who love the psychology of the editing process itself. https://youtu.be/MMHkX4b4G9Y?si=3lzmvmPa2Qxxs5d9 On Spotify https://open.spotify.com/episode/4nkfIrjSDuI8fXZTgGvNrM?si=Cf6b746uRe2-D5cZQT-rHA This was for a short series I did called 'Creative Rituals' before I decided to go 100% into The Lost Futures. (Please keep in mind that my old name used to be Jesse Chard. I will talk about why I changed my name at a later date.) If you have any interest in editing you'll get a LOT from this episode. It's one of my favorites.

This talk is fascinating!!! It’s reassuring to hear other creatives discuss the states of anxiety, confusion, stress and resistance we all experience as part of the creative process. I totally resonate with the need for a deadline... I tend to overthink the fuck out of my work, whether it’s web design, writing, or putting together a pitch/proposal for a marketing gig. A deadline helps me cut away all of the superfluous bullshit. Deadlines can also be super stressful though, particularly if there’s an eager client involved. There’s so much in this talk, thanks for sharing, it’s really helped me start to tune into the vibe of the course. On a side note, I wonder how many creatives have ADHD? My guess is a very high percentage, if not all.
