Safety
Hello ladies! Happy Wednesday. I've been thinking on 'safety'. With the whole 'bear vs. man' videos circulating, and the constant stress on our bodies, emotionally, physically, spiritually, and within our own selves, I think it's important to touch on this topic. What do you do that makes you feel safe? In your body, in your mind? Take this question and run with it. Go to whatever depths feel ok for you. I'll go first, in the comments. Big love my friends, Carolyn

Physically, when I was pregnant with my first child, I got my concealed weapons permit. I went through another phase, where I needed the guns out of the house. All of that to say, I think it's ok if we go through different seasons at different times, that allow us to feel safe. Don't ever think because you made the choice once, you have to keep it that way forever. Now I practice and teach Buti (I think most of you know what that is, but just in case you don't, it's a somatic based movement, that incorporates traditional vinyasa, primal movement, cardio bursts, loud music, and tons of fun into a badass workout). Just moving my body in this type of way, brings about a freedom in me, that feels safe. I have had some decent self trust issues in my past, and opening myself up to this kind of practice began my healing journey back to myself. Emotionally, being honest about what I'm feeling gives me safety. (time and place of course) But having a container to do so, (like this place and some super safe friends) to let me really be ME, gives me emotional safety, and allows me to sink into that deeper trust of myself. Even if I'm not sure WHAT I'm feeling, talking to someone who knows me well, who can ask good questions that make me think, and expand my understanding of myself if a beautiful thing. Small things: being wrapped up tight in a cozy blanket having a full belly having a full tank of gas being warm pressure of my hands on my chest sunshine on my skin lights on clean counters cuddled up with my husband and children sometimes quiet to sink into my mind sometimes loud to hide in my mind not feeling rushed hugs
New ideas brewing...
Good morning everyone. I've been thinking, dreaming, brain storming on this whole idea. I hope what you find here, you enjoy, and it brings you safety and grounding. Recently, through many conversations in all areas of my life, I have felt this thread tugging at me. That so often in life, we are willing to go the extra mile for a friend, but are quite hesitant to show ourselves little, if any, of the same compassion or grace we so freely offer others. Why is that? I don't have an answer yet, but I want to dig deep into understanding how we all tick. Further, I would like to offer a space where we can all come, ask questions, share our own journeys through healing, and offer each other the love and support. My best friends in life were once strangers, and so it might be here for us, but only at the beginning. My hope and goal is to host a place where relationships grow and deepen, and everyone finds something for themselves. Just a few 'off the top' ideas for us to chat about include..... Enneagram Human Design Buti Movement Somaevolve practice Yoga in General Breathing Techniques Understanding of Humans Self Compassion suggestions Healthy eating Healthy living Many more to add! In the meantime, if you have wisdom to seek or share, please feel free to begin here. All the love, Carolyn

Just for fun, I'm an Enneagram 2 (this was the most relationship changing realization in my life) Human Design Projector (JUST learning about this! So interesting) Buti instructor for almost 5 years (Wouldn't be here without the community and movement practice) I'm on my own healing journey, and I'm never giving up. I hope this will help you on yours as well.

Tuesday thoughts....
Good morning Sacred Confidants! I would love to set my vision for this space a little more for you, to know what we have here, and be able to share it, should it tug at your heart to do so. Three years ago, I got to take part in my first ever yoga retreat/camp, and the friends I made there have been absolutely invaluable to me. And while some of the friends I collected there do not live close, we live in an age of technology that I still get to see their faces and hear their voices on the regular. And through those experiences, we have all realized what a beautiful gift we have been blessed with. A place to truly truly be ourselves, and ask the honest questions, share the real answers, and support each other with nothing but truth and love. This is what I desire for THIS space. A place where we can gather, and support one another, where we can feel safe enough to share the depths of our souls, whether we have ever met these people in real life or not. Where we can be vulnerable, and possibly even build relationships with others that can blossom into beautiful 'jewels of our hearts' type of bonds. So here you are, my sweet friends. I offer you a Safe Sacred Space to open up to the honesty inside of you, and share it with others who are seeking the same. Love you all🥰

Welcome!
Hello friends! Welcome to my newest venture, a space for us to come and bathe in the wisdom of each other, on Skool! I'm not exactly sure what this space will hold for us all, but I'm excited to see where we go from here! In the meantime, please feel free to invite other friends, and share something about your movement journey. Whether that be how buti found you, your favorite moment in a class, or even your favorite pose. One of the dreams I have is to create a safe space for all of us to share, process, and let our nervous systems really relax. Happy weekend, loves ❤️

I'm Carolyn! I live in Montana, and I love teaching Buti Movement! It is a somatic practice, that's based on vinyasa, that brings power and healing.
