Analyzing the bids you lost.
How many people here analyze the bids that they lost and do sort of the postmortem on the deal? I do this to evaluate how competitive I am. The recent bid that I lost is 27 pieces. The price range between my vendors was pretty wide for 55 apiece to 77. So the firm I lost to came in at 22.63 apiece. These are a specific manufacturer. I looked the company up and they’ve done about 600 K in the last six months. I understand they get a discount for volume, but a price at 60% lower than my lowest distributor?
