Resources
What has been the most valuable resource to you and why? Or what resource would you recommend to someone trying to learn or improve? I've made the realization recently that not everyone uses the same resources in their learning journey.🤦‍♀️ Duh. Not my brightest moment I know. 💡But I also realized that this provides an opportunity for us to work together. Share your valuable resources! Textbooks, classes, groups, research papers, etc. So far, mine is Tappan's Handbook for Massage Therapy. Such a great guide and resource. My favorite part is the detailed illustrations of the techniques taught.

@Juanito Operana Have you ever considered specializing in rehabilitative massage with a focus on amputation? I've had a few individuals I've working with in my practice that have had some form of amputation injury and for me at least, the most rewarding part of the work is showing them the techniques they can use to help themselves. Also would you mind clarifying what you mean when you say you are interested in business outreach? And what tools do you currently use for business management? It sounds like you've got some awesome plans! We're so excited to hear more from you through your journey!

@Juanito Operana Definitely this! I feel what you are saying here and much of it is along the lines of content we are currently working on. So excited! Your clarification is literally perfect though and I really appreciate the specifics. I have used the AMTA software but it's been a while so I'll need to go back and look at it again. Maybe sign back up and walk through it. Thanks for your input!
Who I am
I'm Brittainy, and I'm a Licensed Massage Therapist. I'm from Arizona and I live there now but have lived in several different states. I am self- employed in my massage business and I focus on therapeutic massage. I have done work with chiropractors and volunteered work for several months at a Physical Therapist business while I was in school which has definitely benefited my current practice. I also enjoy doing hot stone, sports massage and incorporating lots of different styles and techniques into massage if I feel they'll benefit my clients. I'm also a mother with 2 kids so I don't get to do as much massage as I'd like but also enjoy the time I have with my girls. What I'm hoping to get out of the community is just that: community. A place to talk to people who understand what I know and have similar interests. And I'm really really hoping to learn a lot.

Sounds great! You can only pin 3 posts in a community at a time even if they are across different groups/ discussions but I think that definitely warrants being at the top. Happy to have template suggestions!
