T/T and working around Minimum Opening Trasactions
Hey guys! hope every one is having a great start to their week. One of the suppliers that I contacted is telling me that their payment terms are T/T in advance through global trasfer. I googled it and say that it was some type of bank trasfer I wanted to ask if you think doing business with these conditions is good, since the videos suggest to pay the products with a credit card. This same supplier is also asking to have a minimum opening order of $5,000 what do you guys think should I move on from this supplier and keep negotiating?

Just to clarify, does this mean that once you receive an order on your store, you pay the supplier before they ship it? Because that's ordinary. If a supplier is asking for payment for something prior to you even getting a sale then I would move on.
GTIN/ UPC
Hi, some of my suppliers does not have gtin, upc codes. So what is the way forward like do i generate them on my own. Coz i want to upload the products in the Google merchant center and from what i have read it say that gtin is very important for them. Any suggestions anyone?

@Nishkarsh Sharma when you say your GMC was suspended to to GTIN, do a majority of your suppliers not have GTIN numbers for their products? GTIN is important for Google but it doesn't usually cause an account suspension if you don't have them.
Hi guys

If you are using Simprosys, you can exclude the GTIN from the feed you share with Merchant Center.

Hey Filip, I'm looking into this and am getting conflicting information. There is this documentation on the Shopify forum that says you will need an SSN: https://community.shopify.com/c/payments-shipping-and/can-t-activate-shopify-payments-without-ssn/td-p/2245720 But there is also some people online saying they can get Shopify Payments without an SSN: https://www.pipiads.com/blog/what-if-you-dont-have-ssn-for-shopify/ You may need to user a 3rd party provider like Stripe. What have other people done here?
Need Guidance
Hello! I'm new here and this is my first drop-shipping business selling kitchen appliances. I managed to find at least 3 Suppliers for the Kitchen Appliances for me to sell and a platform website for me to post these products. However, I do have the following questions: 1) They (the 3 Suppliers) have their "Avg Price" for their products. My question is, when I post their products, how to adjust the selling price? I did research of the product in the web and mostly their selling price is much lower. Like for example, suppose that 42" Grill costs $6,999 from one of the Supplier, while other competitors selling the same is around $3,000 - then do I need to lower the price? 2) Also, once I successfully post these products, do I need to contact those Suppliers to inform them that I've posted their products? 3) Suppose I received emails from customers they need to buy one of the Kitchen Appliance, I need to send email to the Suppliers to inform them about new order from customer? Do you have template for this for customers to fill in the orders? 4) After I post these products, I understand I need to advertise but do you have any recommendation where can I advertise these products for free and reach global customers? I think that's the above. Seeking for your guidance accordingly. Thank you in advance.

Congrats on the progress so far! 1) When you work with the suppliers they will send you a list of prices that will includes the MSRP (the manufacturer's suggested selling price), the MAP (the minimum advertised price that you're allowed to sell it for) and the dealer price, which is what you will pay for the item. Likely every competitor you see online will have it listed at the MAP. 2) Once you find the suppliers, you need to reach out to them and ask to become an authorized reseller of their products. We have outreach templates in the Classroom section of Skool. You need to become an authorized reseller BEFORE you start selling their products. 3) Each supplier is different. Some have dealer portals where you login and order the product to send to a customer. Others will just tell you to email or call them. But they'll let you know how to order from them when you become an authorized reseller. 4) If you'd like to build your business in the most budget friendly way possible, you can use SEO. Which means you'll be creating content on your website to generate free traffic. It takes longer but can be very effective.
