Learning about what I need to learn
Hi everybody, I have 2 very small businesses( if you can call them that) Paradigm Karaoke, and AXE RX Guitar Repair. I'm here to learn what I've been missing to bring these from jobs to actual businesses.

@LaMont Harvey unfortunately most are very tight lipped. The best shows i have are really busy and the younger crowds seem to be less put out by long rotations than the older crowd. It's just a strange balance having 2 different customers at the same time. I can't think of another business that works like this.

@LaMont Harvey can you expand a little more? Because of the unique nature of the business, I'm not sure about how to outline the operation. What exactly would that look like? I'm sure once I get going it will begin to make more sense, I'm just missing the practical application coming from nothing. Folks in this business are very tight lipped and not open to sharing. There is 1 here that is really stomping me and she swears the venue all come to her, she Durant reach out to them. Not totally buying that, especially as i have seen her shows. Her hosts are nice, but the quality of the show is really poor. No adjusting the mix regardless of how loud the singer is. I adjust the mix for every singer as needed to get the best sound for each independently. A clipboard with a piece of paper where they draw lines for singers to sign up on, 3 different books for songs, newer songs, and songs from one specific manufacturer all updated every month or 2. I have a fully digital sign up with kiosks in the venues and even sign up on their phone via my website. Songs get purchased almost nightly on the spot for singers of is something I don't have and the list is updated immediately... literally up to date to the minute. I treat the mix like it was a band, no different except the band itself is pre mixed in the studio, but I work the vocals life a real name. Nobody else here does ANY of that, my product is far superior to anyone out here even being objective. I SHOULD by all rights be kicking everyone's ass, but I'm missing the basics, i just dint know what the basics are so I know what to learn. Thanks for responding
What area of your business are you focusing on improving?
Heading into 2025, I’ve been reflecting a lot on where I want to focus my time and energy in my businesses. For me, the two biggest areas are offers and systems, creating no-brainer offers that deliver massive transformation for my clients, while also setting up the systems and processes to attract leads and serve clients at scale. What about you? What area of your business are you focusing on improving as we move into the new year?

Just realized I didn't start a business, I started a job. Looking towards creating systems that will allow me to have an ACTUAL business. 16 years is long enough to be doing this all wrong lol
