Welcome @Nabil Elidrissi !
Hey everyone! 🙂
👋 Hi, my name is Mario. I am a Front-end Developer based in Split, Croatia. I'm interested in the entire Javascript ecosystem (from React to NodeJs). Currently, I'm trying to step up my game when it comes to clean architecture and decoupling the business logic from the user interface but also TDD in general. Excited to meet you all and looking forward to learning from everyone here Happy coding! 😁

Welcome @Mario Banovac !
Interview for Application Patch Developer
Hello peeps. 😃 A recruiter messaged me on LinkedIn saying he'd like to talk about a Javascript/Node role. He sent the role and description and it turns out it is an Application Patch Developer Role. We had a quick conversation (the usual tell me about yourself/skills/compensation, etc) He said he would be forwarding my info to the manager to see if they wanted to proceed and schedule an interview. Turns out they do and I have an interview on Monday. I am a bit nervous because I am not exactly sure how to prepare or which questions will be asked for this role. He did mention it might be technical so to prepare for that just in case. Anyone have any tips? Suggestions? This is the role description: Hands on technical position to support Digital Apps-CyberSec Mitigation ongoing /approved eIT project to address increased application upgrade/patching workload and meet IT compliance policies, deadlines and cyber-vulnerability mitigation -The Application Patching Analyst is a hands on technical position responsible for reviewing and actioning the full stack applications(frontend-backend-databases-servers) vulnerability assessments for risk mitigation .The role involves executing the hands on software upgrade & patching of applications with direct interaction with full stack software developers, system administrators, product management team and end user stakeholders as needed. -Perform oversight of the assessment and change processes of critical security releases. --Coordinate with cyber security and business areas to develop mitigation plans for systems or non-critical releases to be tested and implemented based on patch management strategies. Must Have: Application Patch Analyst Experience ESQL, SQL and Java experience Front End Development JavaScript Frameworks Server Side JavaScript (node, V8, etc.) Troubleshooting Vue.JS Minimum Qualifications • Past or Present Fullstack application development hands on experience with at least one end to end software product or project full deployment project in production.

UPDATE: Interview was going well, I introduced myself and they had me walk them through one of the applications I’ve built. After that he asks if I’m located in San Antonio because the role is Hybrid and I would need to go in to the office once a week. I told him I wasn’t aware or told the position was hybrid, I was told it was remote. He asks if I would be willing to relocate and I say I’m not at the moment. So that’s where the interview ended. It was about 15 mins long. 😅 I double checked the job details and it definitely says remote. I messaged the recruiter to update him and he also said he doesn’t understand where the disconnect was because he was also told it was fully remote. Guess it wasn’t meant to be. P.S. I don’t think relocating for a 3-6 month contract is ideal.

@Bogdan Nedelcu That’s a very good point! Sometimes I am too honest. Will definitely keep that in mind next time. Thank you!
Most traction I’ve had in a year.
Just want to celebrate a small success. I had been struggling to get interviews for like the past year. I followed @Dragos Nedelcu advice on how to modify my LinkedIn and I also used the Resume template and tips he offered on his YouTube video and I have had recruiters reaching out on LinkedIn and after applying and sending my resume to some companies. I have two interviews scheduled for next week. Might not seem like a lot but after only hearing crickets, this is awesome. Thank you for this community @Dragos Nedelcu @Bogdan Nedelcu Excited to get even more interviews scheduled and hopefully land a job soon 🙏🏻 P.S. Work on that Resume!
