I'm looking to renovate my bathroom, but I'm unsure whether to go with a shower base for a standing shower or to use a tiled shower base. I feel tiled shower base have leakage issues after few year.

I'm new here and looking to learn more about construction industry. I used to live in Vancouver, but now I've moved to Calgary. I've noticed that BC has better building codes and more solid houses.
