College Radio PDF
A friend of mine has had some success with breaking artists on the college radio in the past. He mentioned that acts like Mims and Bonecrusher garnering substantial buzzes on the college radio scene. Since college radio isn't controlled by the payola system that governs most terrestrial radio and Top 40 stations, the independents have a better shot at pushing their singles on these stations. I've included a Free Download of an updated College Radio PDF for anybody who wants it. The game is to be uploaded and shared with the homies

Anyone Build a Tour Yet??
What's up BMN!! I ain't been too active on here in the last months but we've been working! So my team and I've been putting together a tour on the east coast of the US to build some awareness, connections and to touch the people. We used our analytical data and personal network to build out a 7 - 8 stop tour. I'll be opening for someone signed and on the come up, as well as put together 4 of my own shows and perform at other's. I wanted to know if anyone had any experience putting together their own independent tour, how'd it go and what would you do differently? What's some advice that you'd give or something you found out the worked well on the road? Booking venues and being on calls most of the time as well as trying to balance a home, relationship, work, music, etc. is STRESSFUL! But seeing everything slowly coming together makes me feel so much better about everything. I'm just excited to be on the road for the first time and I'm ready to make connections and build relationships.

Do you create for the sake of creating?
Do you have specific intentions every time you write a song? Or do you just write a song for the sake of making music? Me personally, I have songs that had specific intent and ideas behind them but I really love just making music. The majority of my music is conceived in the moment; I just hear an instrumental and start going. There’s plenty of songs that will probably never be mixed or even recorded because of just having fun and not really taking it too serious. But that’s something I love about the way I conduct my music, sometimes it’s just about memory and emotion that comes with the song.

@Dani Corbin I stand with you 100% I’m the same way when it comes to making music. I like making what I’d personally listen to, trends just make me feel like I’m selling my soul in sense. I don’t want to completely lose who I am because of trying to blow off of trends. On top of that people are gonna be expecting that sound and when they hear my actual sound it’ll probably turn the majority of them away lol

@Weegi Wizers and sometimes that’s exactly what you need bro, those lil plug in bars can put that battery right back in you. It’s always a good feeling when you find a home for them too 😂
What's Your Music Circle Like?
Going through the music journey is certainly possible "alone" but when you have a group of artists you can connect with on your level as you all level up - nothing beats that! What does your local music tribe, music scene look like and how involved are you in it?

I’m just happy that there wasn’t really a time that I was moving alone in the music scene. I’ve had friends I started freestylint with back in like 8th grade, some of them are still around. Since then I’ve met so many people around my local areas that made their way into my circle. Rappers, singers, producers, videographers, etc. I have something of a team rn and it makes everything so much easier. It’s great because the majority of us have been around since kids, so it’s like a bunch of best friends chasing their dreams together. It’s really something beautiful
Live Perfomances?
Do you think performing your music in a live setting is beneficial to building a fanbase? And if so, when is the appropriate time to start?

I started with basement shows, the first few are definitely a lil scary but me personally when I get the mic in my hands a lot of the anxiety goes away. Sharpen that stage presence with small shows, shit even rock out by yourself in your room to work on breath control and all of that. It can easily help you put your name out there because if you put on a great performance people are a bit more likely to look you up. I’ve had people that knew I’ve made music for years and never started tuning in until they saw me perform. Makes you look a bit more professional and serious. Performing is something beautiful honestly
