Productized Service Offer
Can you turn your service into a product where you charge a fixed monthly fee? This is a question I've been pondering for about 2-3 weeks already. A fellow video editor I know on Twitter posted about this, and about 1 week later Stefano also brought it up to me. Since then I can't stop thinking about it. The idea is very simple. Let's say you are a copywriter and charge something like $2k every month for either a fixed or unlimited amount of copy work per month. The client can ask for anything (copy related) and one job is done at a time, with as many revisions as needed. The result: Predictable income every month. $2k, $4k, $10k, $50k There's a guy already doing $1M a year doing design job. But this can be done with design, video production, copywriting, ads and a few other services. Is anybody here doing something like this? I believe @Marco Vannini is doing it 😄 Anyway, I'm currently launching my video editing agency around this subscription model, the website is 90% ready, and I'm showing it to 1-2 people every day this week to get feedback and perhaps the first client. Then after enough feedback and improving it, I'll start using the Elegant system 😄 Would love to hear your thoughts about it.
