βFocus on Leads not Salesβ
This is a post for services based ads, but I thought it was a valuable takeaway and worth sharing. I had a session with GrowMyAds. We discussed the possibly of tracking sales on third-party platforms for 2 of my accounts. The main problem is βhow do we know which bookings/purchases are coming from GAβ I am able to track page views on these third-party platforms, but I am unable to establish which of those views complete the booking/purchase. It has been driving me insane, and I have spoken to multiple people on how this can be done, there must be way. π§ After discussing with the consultant for a while, he said something that stuck with me. βFocus on driving qualified leads, not revenue generatedβ - I know this statement sounds controversial, but there is only so much we can do as PPC professinals (keyword research, copy writing, landing page optimising etc etc) Iβve been looking for brass tax reasons to quantify my value. ( X amount of sales = GA is working poorly/average/booming!) I needed this to validate my effort, only to realise that it has already been validated by increasing CTR and CLICKS.
