Hi everyone!
My name is Anders, I’m 27 years and from Denmark! I got back into collecting just over a year ago, and have enjoyed every bit of it🤞 My favorite card as of now is the Blastoise SAR from 151 - couldn’t help but to include my top 3😅 I’m a big fan of both Blastoise and Mitsuhiro Arita, so this card hits just the spot for me🎯 I collect cause i love the Pokemon universe and have as long as i can remember - but, I’m also very interested in investing. So when i found out Pokemon investing was a thing, i couldn’t help but to pursue it. Since i’ve now been in the hobby a year, I’ve also seen some of my cards/sealed increase, which just makes collecting that much more fun. So i would say I’m equally in the hobby for both collecting and investing🙏

@Natalia C. I agree! I was lucky enough to grab the Noivern in a PSA10 at a good price a couple of months ago🙏

New TCG’s on the market
With new TCG’s on the market, I’ve been wondering what the future of Pokemon will look like - Now that OnePiece and Lorcana are getting established as strong TCG’s, how do you think it will be down the road? I’ve seen big Pokemon collectors slowly switching to OnePiece, for both the franchise and artworks, but also for the huge gains that OnePiece have experienced on the secondary market. I’m also seeing people buying Lorcana booster boxes “just because”. So my question is: Do you think there is space for 2 new big TCG’s in the market? Or do you see one of them slowly losing popularity again? What are your thoughts about this? Personally I’m hoping people will have 1-2 years with One Piece and Lorcana, and then slowly switch back into Pokemon - I’m hoping the nostalgia from Pokemon will win them back over😆 Also, maybe when the financial gains start to stabilize, maybe they don’t think it’s that fun anymore - but idk🤷‍♂️ I haven’t bought any One Piece or Lorcana as it‘s not really interesting to me.

What's your opinion ?
Which items do you buy as an investment? I have only been collecting for about two years and I think booster boxes are the best purchase as an investment. This if they have a price between €95-120. They usually achieve this price when they are 8 to 14 months old. I personally look at the price of the cards in the sets, if there are cards that go towards €75-100 (+1 year) I decide to buy a full case. otherwise I stick to 1 or 2 booster boxes. what is your experience?

Right now i see a lot of potential in Silver Tempest and Crown Zenith. Prices are still rather low, especielly for Crown, which just had a bigger reprint - but they’re also both pretty popular sets. I do generally think everything from SWSH era is a good buy atm, since every set we’re getting from S&V era is not being received positively by the masses, which then makes people look for previous sets to rip (myself included😆) Booster boxes are definetely the way to go, but once in a while you come by great deals that are just to good to let go - 2 weeks ago i bought 2 cases of sleeved boosters (144 boosters each) of Lost Origin at a price of €3,125 pr booster. A good indicator for me is always: if it’s lower than the lowest listing on cardmarket, then it’s probably a good deal. I bought them off Ceescards.eu - can easily recommend their newsletter, great deals popping up now and then🤞
