I was very intrigued when Micheal Bittner McPherson pitched me his idea of a social platform for goalkeepers to interact with each other online, allowing them to share clips and connect all around the world. When the GKUnion website officially went live, I was excited to join, as this service was the first of its kind. Although I have only been a member of the GKUnion community for a month, I can already see it has a lot of potential as goalkeepers will see the immense benefit it has to offer. As a goalkeeper for the University of Toronto Varsity Blues, a service such as GK Union would have been very helpful for connecting with coaches and recruiters. I would have loved to use this platform to communicate with university/college coaches. The sky is quite literally the limit for GK Union, as this community continues to grow and help goalkeepers connect, interact, and build a strong online community.
