Coogans and work permits
So I’m trying to get a California permit and a New York permit and open up a Coogan account. And I have some questions. We live in Georgia, so would me opening up a Coogan account in Georgia count for a job in let’s say LA? Or do I need to open up a Coogan account in LA? Also on work permits, we homeschool. How do we get a work permit in LA/New York if we homeschool? We are not tied to any school district because Georgia does not have us reporting to anyone. The only thing we do is we register every year that we will be homeschooling said children. The school district does not know anything about my homeschooling whatsoever so how could they sign off on anything?

I applied for a permit in CA without a Coogan but with the trust account used for the NY permit and the only defect I had was to use the CA School form. If you have a trust account for NY it seems CA will accept that. For the homeschooling in GA you do not have to report progress to anyone? I guess you can send the DOI, the last tests, and the link to GA and see what they say to that.

Audition Repertoire
Hi! I’ve been updating my audition rep book for musical theatre and I’ve got a pretty solid selection but I’m missing a few categories Currently what I have is Ring of Keys - Fun Home Sixteen Going on Seventeen- Sound of Music Stupid with Love - Mean Girls Somewhere- West Side Story Dance with You- The Prom I Know Things Now- Into the Woods Someone to Watch Over Me- Ella Fitzgerald Girl Scout - Beetlejuice Now Im looking for a pop/rock piece and a Disney piece. I’m 14 and an alto (approx g3-c5 but I’m not entirely sure) If anybody has any suggestions for pieces i should add/take out that would be greatly appreciated.

for Pop/Rock can I suggest SIX? Heart of Stone, All You Wanna Do (may not be alto but has a great personality). For Disney "how far I'll go" from Moana, "The Next Right Thing" or "Into the Unknown" from Frozen 2 (I prefer the former as it is not as overplayed and gives you a better acting range as well) and one of my personal favorites "Mother Knows Best" from Tangled.
Turning Down a Role
We auditioned for a role, short film, unpaid, 5 hours drive away - as we usually do to get experience - she didn't get it but got a background role. Normally we would take it but that same weekend is her BFF bday so I am not going to ask to move stuff around or create a hassle for us just for the background role. How do we professionally turn this down without looking like we are sore losers (we are not).

SAG-AGTRA ROLW
I think she just booked a featured role in a short film - waiting for confirmation. What does it mean when in the project details the role says SAG-AFTRA and NOT SAG-AFTRA/Non-Union? Does that mean the role will earn her union credit?

Michelle - Mom to Ace - age 10
I can’t change my name, but this is mom here. Acelynn “Ace” is a 10 year old actress based in Dallas area. She has national representation, but we are currently searching for a Manager and Dance agent. She is online schooled and we can’t wait to sign up for a class with Corey that isn’t during dance time. 😄 She spends 20-25 hours each week training in dance. We currently do private acting coaching with a couple of people to fit into her schedule.

@Acelynn Jennings you should be able to through your profile. It says "You can only change your name once, and you must use your real name. Change name." Change Name is clickable and then you change it. Click on your profile picture and then settings.
