I used to want at least three takes of the lead but now i just use one and copy it to several channels, move them a little bit to avoid the facing.. then i mix them different with channel Eq just to make them sound more in different hz and pan them.. it gives the rap a huge feel.. I pan the adlips way out to the sides.. I use compressor, distorsion and reverb and sometimes a multipressor.. a bit of echo on one track .. most important is the channel Eq so you can boost the hz where the voice sounds best..

Session definetly! Because that is why Im doing this, to be able to work with major artists, 10K isnt even close to enough money to get my roof fixed or my kitchen replaced.. Equipment dont matter, they just dont.. I know producers that totally out shine me working on regular computer monitors.. off course a new Mac Book Pro makes it more fun and helped me step up but it doesnt matter what equipment you have..
