I'm big on supporting one another on social media - let's connect
I am NOT a fan of engagement pods where engagement is required. I am a FAN of supporting content you resonate with but it can be hard to discover new content and people. Feel free to drop your social media handles here: I'll go first: I have a bunch - Here is my Linkedin :https://www.linkedin.com/in/joellalgee/ Everywhere else just search TheRealestrecruiter, I should pop up! You?

Less than a week and we hit 100 members
Happy Thanksgiving week to all that celebrate! I'm thankful and grateful to have the support of everyone in this group. We had a great first meeting last Friday and another on scheduled for tomorrow. We covered some video basics but have so much more to cover. I thought for Tuesday it would be helpful to start focusing on content topics and the creative process! Let me know what questions you have regarding this topic. See then and again thank you!

I have questions! How important are hashtags? Should you use the same ones on every time? Should you relate them to your post? Are there certain days/ times that are better to post for better visibility? Best method/ tool to help gather and organize your post ideas? Thank youuu
1st Session was great here is what you missed - Audio is available here.
1st part of the session was just intro - you can skip past that. Understanding who your audience is and how to reach them. For me, I have 2 audiences: Recruiters - typically expect humor around recruitment, tips on technology, and then tips on being a better recruiter. Job seekers - Tips on resume, Interview tips, how to get a job. Then we transitioned into video content basics: 1. The most important part of a video is the hook - if you DON'T nail the first part of the video you will not capture people's attention. 2. Hook then add credibility - Why should people listen to you? 3. Record in bite-size chunks vs long 1-2 minute sections. If you want me to review a few videos, feel free to send them to me! I'm happy to give you quick tips. If you're looking for one-on-one help, please DM me. I offer hourly coaching dedicated to helping you! Feel free to listen and drop any questions you have here! Thanks to @Abby Nummerdor @Amy Ratcliffe @Josh Vogel @Hunter Cook @Dijana Kolar for showing up Today.

With the video content being more popular and resonating with people, what are some tips in creating one? For example, how long should a clip be, should there be a lot of motion/movement, does text in the video help? Things like that. Also, curious on the path towards brand deals. I know there's a lot behind that including building your own presence, but what have you found to be successful in securing one. Looking forward to your insights!
