How has 2024 been for your career?
Have you leveled-up in your career? Did you get a job - of perhaps lost it? Or if you freelance - did you find new clients? Have your New Year resolutions come true (if you made them)? How has this past year been different from 2023? Any plans for next year?... I know it's only November :) But I already want to know :)

How has 2024 been for your career?
As for me, a year ago I wished for "something of my own". I had no idea what exactly - a project? A pet-project? A product? I really had no clue whatsoever, just that very vague wish. And then in July something clicked overnight and I started an educational YouTube channel. I had forgotten about my resolution already, so only a month or two later, I thought - wait, this is that thing that I wished! "Something of my own"! It is now a third or fourth time in a row that my resolutions just come true (last time I wished for a car that I thought I wouldn't be able to own).
This AI-generated grandma thwarts scammers with long stories about her cat
'I've got all the time in the world.' AI-generated UK grandmother named “Daisy” is trying scammers’ jobs a bit more tedious. UK mobile operator Virgin Media O2 created Daisy in order to speak with bad actors and waste as much of their time as possible. Using ChatGPT-like large language models, Daisy will ramble on about her passion for knitting and tell long-winded, fabricated stories about family members with the goal of keeping scammers on the line. In theory, every minute spent frustratingly chatting with Daisy about its made-up family or daily chores is one less minute a scammer could be targeting a real person. https://www.popsci.com/technology/ai-grandma-scammers/

wow that is one of the best ideas! AI talking to AI is a peculiar case.. I guess this case could be classified as learning of some sort? Like chess engines playing against each other?
This AI Coding Editor is a Game-Changer! Built an Entire SaaS Product FAST
I'm already using Codeium for some time in VSC ( instead of Co-Pilot, Cursor) and had these days a great surprise. The Codeium team released an IDE named Windsurf and it really seems to innovate and increase much the level of help to develop / debug / adjust software such as Saas. I hope you enjoy it and leave me your impressions. Here is the link with the video from someone who makes somes comparison with Copilot and cursor. The link for the editor ( Windsurf / Codeium ) is in the video description. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qsRNpR5uPUM

@Jimmy Jones Tell more about it - everyone's so positive that it would be good to hear the other side as well. What was it that did not impress you?
Exclusive Opportunity for Data Scientists: Join for Free Before It's Paid
Hi everyone! I wanted to share a Skool group I came across that might interest you. The group is led by someone with experience at both Apple and Google, and it’s specifically designed for data scientists. Currently, there are only 55 members. From what I understand, the group will transition to a paid model after reaching 100 members, but those who join early will have free access 😉. This could be a great opportunity for anyone looking to join early! The group is called Advanced Data Science Society, and here’s the owner's profile: LinkedIn Happy learning everyone!!! @Brandon Phillips @Viktorija Trubaciute
