👋Hey everyone, I'm Jason, a house DJ & music producer based in Denver, CO. I started DJing 25 years ago, but had to leave to run a business in the 2010s. I restarted my music career last year with a focus on production, and this year got my first tracks signed with a label here in Denver. By joining this community I hope to more effectively promote my music so I can grow my brand, start touring, collab with other artists, and get more tracks signed. My biggest challenges right now are not knowing the most effective types of content to make, how to edit content in a professional way, and where/when to post the content I make to maximize engagement. When I'm not working on my brand, you can usually find me working in the DAW, watching comedy, taking dabs, or going out to eat.

I often see people have such a bad relationship with social media because they feel that they have to do trends in order to grow, but in a realistic world that isn't true. Trends can be great for exposure but only when it aligns with you and your content first. You want to be making content that aligns with your brand mission, because the more comfortable you are at making a certain type of content, the easier and more confident you are going to come across on camera. Forget the trends that everyone says you have to do to grow. Just find a content format that aligns with you first and that your happy doing. If thats talking to camera straight for 3 minutes - great If thats doing comedy and entertainment - great But don't force yourself to do something if it doesn't align.
