C.S Research Paper
What type subject of C.S should my paper mainly focus on? I would like it to be something that requires one person to partake in (plan on doing my own work and want it to be actually do-able for one person). Thanks!

@Richard E Personally, I'm doing a research related with the use of Computer Vision to get information from roulette plays, with the goal of training a neural net. If interested, you can find in the STEM contest part.

Yes, as resources about Neural Networks I would recommend the serie of videos from 3blue1brown on YB, after that basis you can look for more depending in what field of Neural Nets you are interested. About the second question, I would say that in what you are more interested, the best to learn in this field is to do your own research. And finally, I don't know too much about AI research but I supposed that nowadays deep,"important" and meaningfull research isn't something easy or feasible to do without a big team. However, there could be researches that in some niche field could be interesting and helpful that can be done more easily. Hope you find helpful the advice, and if you have more questions, text me through here or through twitter. :)
Is ROULETTE deterministic❓ A ML approach through algorithms and Neural Nets - CONTEST
🎯I’m trying to determine if I can predict the winning number in a casino game just by analyzing the ball's movements before it lands 👇CHECK THE VIDEO👇 Using a self-coded algorithm I will extract information from roulette games and divide it into input and output data. Then, I will use this dataset to train a neural net. The final goal is to create a tool that, given a video of a roulette play (without the part where the ball lands), can provide a precise approximation of where it will land. In the scheme you can see the basic structure of the video analyzer, which is already developed and I just need to improve and implement it with lots of roulette plays. Regarding the Neural Network, I have some knowledge about how to implement it, but I have not yet fully developed it due to some issues and time restrictions. If you are interested in knowing more about the project, visit the attached document, where I will be updating the project's development. *If interested in giving ideas or commenting about the project, I will gladly read them in this entry. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1aFx7acvxA1EstakfdOgHR2sErDfUbwVy4HMnn6I4Bfg/edit?usp=sharing

@Tanzim Redwan Have your read all the information? I think that you misunderstood the concept. The idea is not look for any kind of desviation or tendency in the roulette, the idea is to be able to use a video (that finishes just before the ball lands) of a roulette game to be able to predict where it will land. Was th3 case that you told me about doing this? Thanks for the comment btw :)

$200 STEM Idea Contest by Rishab Jain
Do you have a STEM project idea, but are lacking the funds to make it happen? No worries! To give back to the community, I'm hosting a $200 ideas contest. Share your idea by creating a new post in the 'Entries' category on Skool. You can share videos, text, images, PDFs, anything that could help the community better understand your STEM idea. - Post with most upvotes by December 23rd, 2024 will get a small $75 award! Second post with most upvotes will receive $50. Third post with most upvotes will receive $25. Another post selected by Rishab will receive $50 for quality/being interesting! Rules: - Only one post per person - No inviting alt-accounts, but you are welcome to share your post with friends, family, group chats, WhatsApp, etc. - No advertising Discord servers, cold email templates, or anything of the sort. This is solely for promoting your research idea with a mild incentive to share your work. Good luck RishabAcademy!

Has the research have to be related with medicine, chem or lab research or can it cover more areas like machine learning and computer science?
$200 Stem Idea Contest Entry
Hello everyone, I saw Rishab’s post about the 200 dollar idea contest so I thought I’d try my luck. Here is my idea: I’m highly interested in the Computer Science and Math/Machine Learning field (shocker) and i’m a teeny tiny seventh grader so my idea was to create a productivity app kind of like Google calendar or notion but I noticed with these apps like lots of people they write down their schedule on a sheet of paper and they have to struggle to put it in their digital calendar. I want to create an app just like Google calendar and notion, but there’s that’s different and that sets it apart from other apps is that down your schedule on a sheet of paper and you can take a picture of it and then it’ll automatically put it into your digital calendar. Kepp in mind Im still learning to program in Swift so if anyone has tips for learning please reply. Ill also need a research question and write a lab report for this fair and I have a few ideas like a study about how productivity apps/software positively impacts lives. So My school has this tradition for eighth graders, can choose to go into the and try to look in many fields like biology computer science chemistry and my goal is to have this app done by march of 2026 when I will be an 8th grader and the University of South Carolina Regional Science and Engineering Fair will start in that year since I believe it starts around March every year so i will report back and if all goes well, I’m excited to make this app.

For the idea that you mention, I think that you would need some kind of pre-trained model able to read and understand several types of writings. As well as some kind of intelligent algorithm that understand what each things word means and how it has to be translated to a virtual app.
