BIG NEWS: YouTube Shorts Ads!
What's up team! Good news... YouTube Ads just got a WHOLE LOT more powerful! Now, you can run YouTube Shorts Ads! Shorts are videos that are less than 60 seconds and are perfect ads for people watching YT on their phones! These ads take up the FULL-SCREEN and are QUICK, which makes them super powerful for brand awareness (TOFU) and remarketing (MOFU/BOFU) to get them back over to your page and buy/opt-in/book a call! (see pic attached for examples) Yesterday we had a meeting with our Agency Account Strategist at Google and they gave us the blueprint to launching these with the right setting to begin testing them for our clients. What's crazy is they told us that a recent poll found nearly three-quarters of U.S. internet users said they spent at least 30-minutes per day watching short-form videos... Buuuutttttt with Tik Tok growing popularity so quickly, YouTube is making sure they are giving them a run for their money! So here's a few ways you can use these immediately: 1. Convert your best YT Ad into a quick 60-second or LESS YouTube Shorts Ad. This will allow you to get even more eyeballs to your already proven creative and possibly get even cheaper cost per leads. 2. Create a YT Shorts Ads only campaign To make sure you test this type of ad by itself, you can create a Video Action Campaign to force deliver exclusively on Shorts inventory by targeting mobile devices only. 3. Take your top performing Tik Tok Ad (if you're running them) and follow Step 2 above to start testing that same creative on YT to scale even further/faster and tap into the YouTube world! These are just 3 quick tips to help you start getting conversions/clients from YouTube Shorts Ads immediately! We'll be rolling these out for all our DFY agency clients next week, just gathering the assets we need to launch... So we should have some hard data on the stats to share in the upcoming weeks! UPDATE: Shorts are NOW serverable on IOS. I tested this and received an ad on my phone, on this weeks Media Buying call. I repeat, shorts ads are now serving to both Android and IOS Devices!

@Justin Tan Shorts are much much shorter and require punchier scripts than regular instream ads, since you have much less time to make an impact. I would say they're worth testing for sure, shorts has been stealing some market share from both Reels and Tik Tok, it's also good to just film once and repurpose for those other platforms.
Exciting News
We just purchased a Solar Company in California for Pennie’s! I know this community is all about marketing but this ties in great with our businesses that we have under our portfolio. Our YouTube Ad Company will be paid by our new company as a growth partner and more importantly setting up some bad ass YouTube ad marketing once we rebrand this company recruit and sell! Super Excited! I have to thank Bryan and Nick for growing such a wonderful community that is very active and excited everyday. Just wanted to give you guys some tips for when you close deals/ clients! Have high energy because it’s contagious the more excited you are to help a company grow with YouTube ads the more likely they will work with “you.” Being nervous is energy “I call them butterflies.” Use it and do a practice run with a friend or family member. Do not tell them that’s what you’re doing you need to wing this. It will help you speak more clearly when you’re ready to actually dive into a call or face to face. It will help you get all the bugs and excitable “distractive energy” out of you so you’re not throwing up all over your clients. Excitable “good” energy is great but hone that into a well crafted message. I do this everyday. I’m always practicing and developing my communication skills. Business is people and relationships remember this. It comes true every time we close any deals. Thanks Adspend Community!

Just goes to show you that sometimes your best client can be yourself ;) Also a good reminder that without leads the solar company can't exist, now you can come in and add a ton of value by getting leads and working a good sales process. Help! CPL too high and zero booked calls in after running our ads for 30 days....
@Brian Moncada @Nick Grippando - please help! I launched our ad campaign and we've been running it for 30 days, with really poor results i.e. no booked calls. These are summary stats from the booked call funnel tracker, since launching on Nov 9th: Total ad spend: $1,478 Total Impressions: 85,959 Total Views: 8,233 View Rate: 9.6% CPV: $0.22 CPM: $17.20 Total clicks: 499 CTR: 0.6% CPC: $2.96 Leads: 27 LP: 5% CPL: $54.75 So, CPL is WAY too high - we can't be paying upwards of $50/lead that isn't even getting past the VSL to book a call. And the no. of leads is also WAY to low as well - we can't have had just 27 leads in 30 days!! I haven't changed anything in the copy, creatives or audiences yet - just let the ads run to see the data. But we need help in what to do next, as we can't keep spending money on this i.e. we want to pause the ads and fix it before we do anything. Also, I didn't ever get a response about my earlier Q re: the audiences i.e. I created 5 campaigns as per the training, but only 3 of them are getting ad spend - Google Ads has paused the other 2, and I don't know why. I'm sure this has something to do with it, but need some input on this. Look forward to a response! I'm sure this will work, but need another set of eyes to help me figure this out! Thanks!

First things first I checked for GTM and couldn't find it on either of the pages. That is the first thing we need to fix. What we need to do here is go to GTM and go to Admin -> Install Google Tag Manager.
