Hello folks!
Hello everyone. I'm currently in the process of selling everything I own in the US and headed to Thailand. I'm looking forward to exploring SE Asia and finding a spot for my home base. I'm excited about getting rid of all the crap I've accumulated and exploring whole new worlds and cultures. I hope to meet some of you soon. I'm aiming to be in Thailand by mid-November...ideally earlier to avoid the US election shitshow LOL

Hi, Steve. I have been in Bangkok almost two months now so if you have any questions, I may be able to help.
Where to stay between October - February
Hey team! 👋🏼 I'm living in Germany and the Winter months here are grey and cold. Do you have any suggestions or experiences where in the world it's nice to be at during this time?

I lived in Boquete, Panamá, for 3 years. The town is around 1300 meters in elevation and has year round Spring weather. No air conditioning or heating is needed. It is the only place in the World where I kept my windows open 365 days of the year. The town is not much to look at but Panamá is nice.
Screens vs Projector
Hello, Leaving my large desk monitors behind feels scary, I know I am not the only one! Thanks Brett for suggesting a small portable screen (in a previous post) - didn't know about these until you posted about them. (https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B088TLQR3K/ref=cm_sw_r_as_gl_apa_gl_i_8VSP2DT5PMSR05ACZYNP?linkCode=gs2&tag=brettdev-21) Has anyone tried using a small portable projector to solve the "screen real estate" problem of being a nomad? Thank for any advice or thoughts. Mary

I have been using a 15.6 inch 1080p portable Asus monitor as a second screen for seven years now. I moved to Bangkok two weeks ago, so I had to give up my 27 inch 4k monitor in the move. I replaced the desktop monitor with a 18,4 inch 4k portable screen which I have been using for a week now. If you are using the monitor for design, then 4k is the way to go. If you are predominantly text-based, then I recommend a QHD resolution level. I thought about using a projector, but I have not gone that route yet as I am very happy with the portable monitors.
a cool AI tool for writing
So I recently came across a youtube video that talked about this AI tool. It's called Dibbly create. I've been playing with it and I like it a lot. You can write books, speeches etc. The paid version offers help like changing from 1st person to 3rd person, the type of voice you want it to have, it can correct your grammar, simplify your writing or enrich it. It has also tools to help you research your niche and demographics etc...It will even list your competitors on amazon, their strength and weaknesses and give you an overview of what to focus on etc... I am personally going to use it for my old fiction writings, but you can use it for non-fiction also. It can include the research links it uses to obtain the information. So if you have a pitch or speech and you need to convince people, this can help you and include the research to back you up. I think if you are very creative, you can do a lot with this tool. Anyone else uses this tool? How did you like it? Disliked it? https://create.dibbly.com

Current Frustration: Residency. I have permanent residency in Spain (this took 5 years to get). If I stay in Spain 10 years "uniterruptedly" (basically I cannot be outside of the country more than 3 months per year), I qualify for Spanish citizenship which I would really like to acquire. And, factor in the changing rules in Thailand: I am a little perplexed. My 10 years will be complete in May, 2027.
