Breaking news: Brad crushed it
Not sure if anyone would be surprised, but Brad had a great set at the restaurant today. Very happy I got to see him live doing great! Well done Brad!

Gig #3...
Tomorrow night I have my third live gig. This is back at the restaurant where I had my first one. It will be interesting to see how much less the nervousness is. There was a big drop with the second one. Expecting that trend to continue. I've already got gig #4 lined up for Nov 30th, back at the other place I played at. Hoping to get 1 or 2 more in beyond that before the end of the year. https://www.pompstation.nu/live-muziek

Feedback Friday 18 Oct AEST Thread
Let's get hyped for our Feedback Friday which is me giving feedback to our community's posts live on stream! TO GET FEEDBACK: - If you don’t have a video you can ask a question in your comment. - Post a link to your video in a comment on this thread - If you don't know to share a video CLICK THIS LINK (You upload your video as unlisted video on youtube and share the link) - In your comment please state what area of help you're after, the more specific the better. - Do not make your videos longer than 2 mins. - Do not explain in your video I'll skip it and go straight to the playing. - I will watch videos by levels starting from highest to lowest: All level 4 students first, all level 3, etc. - To gain levels engage in the community with posts and comments, every like on your comments/posts gets you a point and points get you levels, it's a video game. - Refrain from offering feedback to others, only show support and encouragement. There is a chance this will get postponed to Saturday since I am quite sick but I’ll do my best to show up with 10/10 vibes ;)

@Luan Krasniqi Well sure... But just like getting back to wow after many years... there are a billion things to do. If you just wanna do pet battles (finger picking), you obviously do other things than if you want to get in HC raids (full on metal shredding or something). I don't know, I am sure I am missing something obvious. I just see this entire landscape of guitar techniques and skills you "should" master to be good and I find it hard to commit to something out of fomo or whatever

@Luan Krasniqi I completely get it, I just need to know what I like to achieve. Maybe I just need to commit myself to work on a song and actually record a video
What’s everyone playing? Share your rig!
I'm curious to know what everyone’s rig looks like. What guitar(s), amp and/or pedals are you using? I’ve always found it fun to dial in my sound over the years. Keen to hear what you’ve all got :)

This is my setup. Using a spark mini for my electric, although I must say I barely play it. Next to this I have my Ableton push 2, audio interface and a few mics
What are some weird quirks you noticed while learning guitar?
So... I just realized that I can play barre chords just fine, but for some reason Bm is just not working for me. Yet I have heard that Bm should be one of the easier ones to learn. Also... I find 6/8 time so much easier to play than 4/4. Not sure if that is a common thing or if I am just more of 6/8th type of guy. What are some things that turned out to be easier / different from the norm for you when you learned to play the guitar?

@Tom Malek took me way to long to realize that as a beginner you shouldn’t worry about the chord sounding right, but you should worry about the timing. I always figured playing the right chord would make it sound like the song, but I guess it’s the strumming and rhythm first and foremost.
