This technology allows us to input a prompt and receive outputs such as lyrics, or visual representations of our ideas. However, AI has been used in various forms, such as in TikTok's personalized content recommendations or Google's search results, long before generative AI like Chat GPT. While you may have a more detached perspective due to your programming experience, I believe that generative AI can offer significant benefits to artists. For instance, it can help overcome writer's block or create cover art, among other possibilities. Although I cannot list all the potential benefits, I believe that generative AI has enormous potential to improve the creative process. Moreover, the fact that an AI artist was recently signed to Capitol Records in 2022 highlights that there is a clear market for AI-generated music. While AI-generated art may not replace real artists, it is clear that there is a growing interest in this technology and its creative possibilities.
