🌺YOU'RE INVITED!🌺 Sisterhood Luau! July 12
I asked @Pauline Vargas for a HUGE favor and she’s holding 5 tickets JUST FOR US but… You have to buy yours NOW! 👉🏽 designedbysisterhoodluau.eventbrite.com. If you came to last years’ Sisterhood Luau you know what I’m talking about and why I say this is a MUST ATTEND. You can get a quick glimpse on my IG: https://www.instagram.com/p/DLlookYRXuC/ The energy in the room is unmatched. The vibrancy of all the beautiful women. The ladies sharing stories and insight. This IS NOT your typical networking event. The Sisterhood Luau is a showcase event put together by Designed by Sisterhood, an afternoon built around real conversations, connection, and being in a room full of women who get it. This is my FAVORITE event of Summer and I really hope I get to see some of you there. Here's what's on the agenda: - Inspiring panel discussions - Networking with like-minded women - Local business shopping showcase - Raffles, giveaways, and a 50/50 supporting the Designed by Sisterhood Foundation - Light bites and drinks included - Photo ops and good energy all afternoon July 12, 2026 | 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM Carleton Hall, 103 Carleton Avenue East Islip, NY I know not everyone in here is local. And that's okay. BUT if you're in the area or can make the drive, I'd genuinely love to see you there. These are exactly the kinds of rooms worth showing up for. Tickets are at designedbysisterhoodluau.eventbrite.com. They’re going fast since the entire DBS community is promoting. So don't wait to grab your seat. I really hope to see you there. 🌺 -C

MEDICAL VAs: Opportunity in your Community
Ladies with medical experience.... the opportunity to provide simple remote services is all around you and in abundance. I have a doctors appointment in a bit at a facility where I will be a new patient. This place was rated THE BEST in our county, and it was referred to me by another business that was rated THE BEST in their industry in our county... So naturally I expected they'd be up to date with their systems etc... I'm not throwing shade, but I want you all to pay attention here.... They asked me to complete my forms before arrival. Cool. I thought I was going to get some HIPPAA compliant system set up to log into. I was actually eager to see what medical facilities are using these days for my own learning purposes. NOPE. I got a PDF of an OLD set of scanned documents. They're not even e-fillable where I can complete electronically and print. You know what's gonna happen when I walk into that office today, right? PITCH JULY starts at 3:25 PM !!! 😆 Thing is - my son's pediatrician and dentist - same thing. Tired looking paper forms. At the very least, I can provide clean presentable versions. When I say there is opportunity to provide remote services and make a decent purse in your community - I mean that literally. Think about the last time you went to any office where you had to complete paperwork - were you doing that manually or digitally? If manually - could the forms use an update? What's stopping you from pitching services to a place like this?

My first Pitch for "Pitch Once a Day" July
Y'all... my first pitch of the "Pitch Once a Day" July challenge happened by accident and I'm not even mad about it. I wasn't trying to sell anybody anything. I was just talking to my dad. My dad's retired (for about five minutes before he started his own business, because apparently that's genetic in my family 😂). We were just catching up and he mentions he got an email to bid on a big city contract. Him "I'd love to bid on this but I don't have the mental capacity to deal with all this paperwork right now. It's due tomorrow." Notarized documents. A spreadsheet. A stack of PDFs nobody has time to read. Classic government-contract BS chaos. So I said forward it to me, we'll get through it even if it's just for practice. Ran it through Claude, had it break down exactly what we needed and why, and we submitted that bid with 15 minutes to spare. 😮‍💨 OBV I'm not charging my dad. But here's the actual lesson buried in that story: I found a whole new service idea just by having a normal conversation with someone I love. That's the whole business secret on HOW TO FIND CLIENTS You don't find your next service by staring at a list of "50 things a VA can offer." You find it by asking people what's stressing them out. Every business owner has a complaint. Somewhere in that complaint is a service you could be getting paid for. So today's homework (yes, even if you already pitched today): go through your phone. Who do you know with a business? Who knows someone with a business? Coffee shop, mommy-and-me meetup, your cousin's group chat - doesn't matter. Ask them what they're struggling with and shut up and listen. You're not selling. You're just finding out what their complaints are cuz tha'ts where the cash is hiding. Who's in on Pitch Once a Day with me this month? 👇 Tell me who you're talking to today.

I LLOOOVVVEE these calls
I listen to the Hormozis, Steve Bartlett, Dan Martell, Emma Grede, Alicia Lyttle, Bozoma Saint John, School of Hard Knocks interviews... And the best of the best all say the same thing - your relationships are the biggest, most important investment you can make. Not just in business. In life. Surround yourself with people who simply want better. They don't have to have it all figured out. We can all be on first base together - but the fact that we all want better? That alone will make all the difference in where we each end up.
