Get free rule statements, discounted attack outlines, and 50% off full outlines
If you’re a 1L and planning to buy rule statements, attack outlines, or full outlines this semester, read this first. I opened the 1L Community so students could get support as they move through the semester, not just panic-buy materials at the end. Here’s what you get inside the $22/month 1L Community (cancel anytime): • Free rule statements • Discounted attack outlines • 50% off full outlines • Access to materials as you learn the topics, not all at once • Mock exam walkthrough recordings • Mini-courses on note-taking, networking, and study strategy • How to Write a Law School Exam, FREE inside the community (normally $111) THESE FREEBIES ARE TEMPORARY - JOIN NOW TO SAVE If you’re buying materials across the semester anyway, joining now usually saves you far more than $22/month, especially if you want consistent guidance instead of last-minute downloads. You can join, grab what you need as you go, and cancel anytime, no long-term commitment. If you want steady support, real savings, and exam-focused prep built for how 1Ls actually learn, this is the move. Join the 1L Community here 👇 https://www.skool.com/1lplus/about

Welcome to the First Gen Law Community! 🎉
Hi everyone, I’m Danielle Alvarez, and I’m so excited to have you here! A little about me—I graduated from the JD/MBA program at the University of Miami, all while raising three kids and running a small business. As a first-gen “everything,” I know firsthand how overwhelming law school can be when you’re the first in your family to navigate this path. That’s why I’ve created this community—because no one should have to go through law school alone. My mission is to make the journey easier for all of you, the next generation of first-gen law students. This space is here to offer support, share resources, and connect with others who understand what you’re going through. In the coming weeks, I’ll be sharing some of the most valuable insights and hacks that helped me not just survive, but thrive in law school. We’ll also talk about my upcoming FGL course, designed to give you even more tools for success. But for now, let’s focus on building this community, supporting each other, and making sure no one has to figure this out on their own. Feel free to introduce yourselves, share your goals, and ask any questions you have. We’re all in this together, and I’m here to help every step of the way. Let’s do this! 💪
New Free Resource: Exam Answer Framework
One of the biggest questions I’ve been getting is: “I understand the material, but I don’t know how to turn the facts into analysis on an exam.” I just added a new free guide that walks you through: - how to read issue-spotter fact patterns, - how to connect facts back to the rule in a way professors reward, - how to structure analysis so it’s easy to follow and easy to grade, - and what actually separates A exams from B exams. This framework works across all subjects. Negligence is used as an example, but the method applies everywhere. You’ll find it attached to this post and saved in the Freebies section at the top titled: 👉 Exam Answer Framework I’m also going to walk through this live and answer questions in a free webinar: Wednesday, 2/11⏰ 12:00 PM EST If you can’t make it live the replay will be recorded and posted in the community. Let me know what you think of the Guide! -D

How can I help?
The new semester is about to begin, how are you all feeling? Where are you struggling? In 2026, I’m focusing on building my new law firm for small businesses and building this community, alongside my 1L community, to be the ultimate hub for all the support you seek. I’d like to start with monthly discussion boards and office hours, weekly TikTok lives, and I’m taking requests for specific study aids/freebies. So please tell me how I can help you! Happy New Year!
Legal Latin Terminology
Hi all, I’m a junior majoring in PoliSci & IR in addition to pursuing a cert for Paralegal Studies. I have been using quizlet for my studies & flash cards but I’m having so much trouble remembering terminology. Specifically Latin terms. I’ve seen crosswords in paper back which would be great aids for legal terminology. Aside from Blacks Law Legal Dictionary, what works best for you when studying and memorizing terminology?
