I am now deleting my Wordpress site due to many unsolicited comments which are being approved even though I am the only administrator. The only comments I am seeing are now approved comments (not by me) and in a foreign language. I assume bots, I have not found a way to stop comments despite all the advice given here. I guess I'll be starting over. And not allowing comments.
