Gratitude for small wins on a Friday!
Ever notice how we often wait for the ‘big’ victories to celebrate? Today, take a moment to recognize the small wins. Even getting out of bed on tough days is a triumph! What small win are you grateful for today? Mine aren't crazy. But with the old perspective I would have noticed the many things that still to be done, feeling the weight of the "lack" instead or cheering the things that got done and accomplished! It's a huge change in perspective! I progressed on getting my room ready for new painting tomorrow and the garage project is almost completed (new shelves!) and 3 full cars of stuff are gone! Then I invented a great supper while defrosting after sitting at the hockey arena for the first game of the season (love watching hockey but ain't warm!) and we watched a good movie together. So it was a day with a LOT OF WINS! And I'm grateful for it!! What about your wins? Share them here, so we can celebrate together!

I got married!
Hi, I've been following Wendy for a number of years and there was a time where on a live coaching call I declared how I didn't believe I would ever find love and questioned if I deserved it. With a lot of personal work supported by people like Wendy along the journey something shifted and I opened up to the abundance of life in a new way. I've met and married my soul-mate and it feels miraculous! I'm a bit stressed and emotional about moving, which happens 2 weeks from today, but overall I am living in a new state of happiness, gratitude, and contentment. It seemed appropriate to share here.

What did you appreciate today?
It’s the end of the week! Happy Saturday Friends! Little nugget of wisdom for you! Study after study have shown the importance of stop in the midst of the chaos that our lives often are to take a moment to appreciate the good things in our lives. To take a moment to INTEGRATE these moments into our awareness, in order to build more Joy, Appreciation and Resilience. Writing even 5 of these moments from the week down on n a journal or on a piece of paper from the week can bring new insights and appreciation in our lives. For example: this week I’m grateful because 1) Spring is in the air and that allowed me to go for a beautiful and long walk on Tuesday; 2) I got to go out in the bushes on Monday and I came home exhausted, very muddy and very happy and that got me to appreciate my job that offers me the opportunity to go play outside and doesn’t feel like working! 3) I’m grateful because on Tuesday the Girls gave their 110% playing basketball and even if they lost for a few points they played like hurricanes and they made sure the other team (much stronger, numerous and much-much taller!) worked to get these 3extra victory points! So proud of them! 4) I’m grateful for the time I took to celebrate the memory of my marvellous neighbour and friend that passed a year ago. The pain of her loss is still sharp, but the memories and the joy and the love that she brought in our lives changed us forever. And finally -and I realize that this is a long post, please forgive me- I’m grateful for the resilience and resolution of my body and mind to slowly but surely win over the darker side of things, one micro step at the time. And 6) why not- I’m grateful for the crazy dancing sky that paraded last night. So -if you feel like- tell me what did you appreciate this week. 🙏❤️🎉

Down some lbs....personal win!
Hey all! I don't post much but Ive been on my overall health journey for a bit now. Ive learned and implemented into my daily life so much now...from here and a couple of other groups Im involved in between here and Facebook. Ive managed to implement a few key things to my daily routine and stay fairly consistant through it all. But the biggest thing for me has been the concept of changing your mindset. After all, you have to get your mindset in the right place before your really capable of setting about real change. I mean....theres always a root cause or issue that causes us to reach for those things that aren't good for us....right? We all know that eating an apple is better for us than eating that apple pie....but we tend to reach for that pie anyway right? My point is...until we fix the root cause of our unhealthy choices we'll continue to reach for that apple pie and wonder why we can't get our shit together. Ok rant over! Lol The whole point of coming on here was to share my win for the week, which is that Ive lost a whopping 5lbs in a week! May not seem like allot to some...but it's everything to me and such great validation that Im on track and doin the damn thing! Woohoo! Ok...y'all can continue your day now! Lol 😂

Taking Stock
I just wanted to post the absolute importance of taking stock and something that I realized the other day. I have come so incredibly far. Last month went on a vacation that had me walking each day. Most of this walking was without my brace, and it wasn't until the third day of excursions that I encountered significant pain. And it frustrated me. Quite frankly it pissed me right off. My family helped my by pointing out how far I have come. By helping me take stock. Two years ago I couldn't walk two city blocks. I just spent a week moving more with less pain than I would have experienced two years ago. I just spent a week being active and overall experiencing less pain than I would have experienced even six months ago. I had been doing my physio and exploring as many non-invasive options for healing as I could find, but things really started to take off when we started bursting. Bursting at home helped my brain believe I am the kind of person who moves for their health. That I am the kind of person who CAN move for their health Bursting at home got me back into the gym. Getting back into the gym is helping me get even stronger than just my physio was doing. Being the kind of woman who is consistent, and being the kind of woman who believes in herself again is like... I'm not even sure how to describe it. Freeing Liberating Empowering Refreshing I just needed to put it into words. I needed to see it in black and white. I have come so far. I just needed to put it into my own words and remind myself of how amazing I really am. Take stock, my friends!
