Gustavo Nogueira de Menezes, Founder of Temporality Lab
I honor this space and its focus, so allow me to introduce myself. My name is Gustavo Nogueira de Menezes and I am a Temporality Expert. My journey is to inspire, educate and empower ourselves individually and collective in our relationship with time. I founded the Temporality Lab. Temporalities are central in my life, and also in yours. They are ways of being. I am a researcher, speaker and I've been developing learning experiences and events in temporal literacy for 10 years as a journey to how we navigate change in the world.
My purpose is to build and bridge experiences, empowering lives by deepening our the understanding of the temporal structures around us, in a local and global scale. With a background rotted in the Amazon rainforest of Latin American, my work brings an unique and decolonial standpoint , blending indigenous and afro-diasporic decolonial approaches with contemporary insights. To experiment with decolonial approaches is to be open for non linear temporalities. Your future is not ahead, it is is all around you. Merging ancient wisdom with modern insights in spiral. Elevating our journey connecting the dots of the past, present, and future. Being the beacon of change the world eagerly anticipates.
How is your relationship with time? That's your temporality in course. Do you sense a deeper purpose in our ever-changing world? I think we are together here for a reason. To find your unique role in this era. Lead with consciousness and craft our legacy in the deep time. We are the time travelers we've been waiting for. I help Individuals seeking personal and professional development through a deeper understanding of time. Organizations looking to navigate change and develop temporal-oriented strategies. Creative professionals, researchers, educators, and activists interested in temporalities, futures narratives, and societal change.
Navigate change is also shape futures. Acceleration is different than progress. Fast done is not the same as well done. When prioritizing speed and immediate efficiency we've been losing the ability to dream and to imagine. My mission is to facilitate a deeper understanding of ever-changing mindsets, skillsets, and toolsets that enable us to live well and to practice becoming the apprentices of our ancestral future selves. I help individuals and organizations to navigate cosmological, mythological, and ecological change, envisioning futures in harmony with the rhythms of time — and contributing to positive social, technological, and economic outcomes as well.
My lifelong goals with my work include teaching and inspiring individuals and organizations to reimagine their relationship with time, cultural narratives, and systemic behaviors. I am a thought leader in the fields of temporality, change, and narrative building, driving impactful projects that address societal, ecological, and economic challenges. Additionally, I've been offering mentorship to those interested in exploring the power of time as part of their temporal self-discovery and empowerment journey.
