BNI Pro tips
So for all of your who run service based business or even brick and mortar product BNI can be a great resource. However, only if you use it correctly.
For those who don't know what BNI is: It is a nationwide network with multiple chapters in multiple states. Each chapter will run independently however the overall mandate is the same: Sales reps and CEO's meet up and exchange leads and do business.
The pro's of this are that you can get free scalable leads. you can also network and do one-on-ones with any BNI members nationwide.
How this has helped me: Relationships with real estate agents and homebuilders who can sell my products to their own customers. Connecting with media and marketing people. tax help and more!
So, how do you make this work?
Being that becoming a member does cost around $900/year you want to make sure you are in a good chapter. I HIGHLY recommend you go to 4-5 different chapter meetings so you can decide which chapter you mesh well with. Some chapters have a bunch of dead energy with some not so great entrepreneurs and sales guys, find the right tribe.
Outside of that, be one the first to give back with leads and referrals and your business will change in what will almost seem overnight.
-stay dangerous.
