Finding talent
People are the cornerstone of any (most) businesses and I’m determined that this time around I’m going to build a business based on excellence. In my past roles we’ve often tried to find the best cheapest talent. The problem with that is it doesn’t exist, well not for long. Good talent knows they’re good and won’t stick around for long, or at least until the next offer hits the table.
The beauty of building an agency in today’s world is that we have a plethora or incredible talent available on platforms like Upwork and Fiverr. And the best part is that these guys are all small business owners, they all work for themselves, so their success is determined on the work they put in, not the success of the company. If they don’t work hard or don’t do a good job then they’ll lose money and clients. They highly motivated, if you find the right ones.
I’ve spent some time over the past couple of days selecting the best of the best, and now have two candidates to choose from, one for Meta and one for Google. Both manage +$1m in ad spend per month and have several years in the industry, with the Google expert having even worked for Google.
I think these are my guys! Next step, I need to find someone to help with lead generation to win my first clients. Todays job! Stay tuned!
