Your past doesn’t define your future!
Whatever you have been through in the past, it does not get to dictate who you become. The key to finding emotional peace is knowing that you control your future. The decisions you make today, shape who you can be tomorrow.
Remember that your past is part of who you are and used to be but does not mean that you will be the same person tomorrow. We all have the power of free will and the power of choice. No one else has that power over you. If you want to be different tomorrow, start today.
Effective ways to make a change:
  1. Write about it in a journal
  2. Talk about who you will be in the present tense
  3. Don’t let others judge you.
  4. Be proud of where you are headed
  5. Be positive and know it can happen
  6. Know that life is what we make it
  7. Don’t be a victim of your own mind, shape your thoughts to what you want to be
  8. Find a support system, a group like this is a great place to start
  9. Be accountable to your own success
  10. Find guidance in books that define lives. See my book reviews for ideas
