My Honest Take on ColonBroom vs. SkinnyFit Detox
When trying both supplements ColonBroom and SkinnyFit Detox, I discovered that honestly, neither quite lives up to the hype—or the price. Both are expensive, and for what they offer, I don’t think they’re worth the cost. When you get down to the ingredients list you can put colon broom together for half the price and skinnyfit detox is just completely ineffective when it comes to the dosages.
For most people looking at this sort of supplement I tend to recommend the amusingly named Slam Dump, but I'll do a review on them another time.
Quick Overview
● ColonBroom: Good for daily digestive support and mild regularity, but it’s essentially just a fiber supplement and doesn’t offer a true cleanse experience.
● SkinnyFit Detox: A detox tea with a blend of herbs, but the doses are low, and it lacks transparency. While it’s marketed as a cleanse, it doesn’t deliver the deep reset I need.
● Slam Dump: A powerful, natural cleanse with higher doses of effective ingredients, providing a complete and balanced approach. It’s also more affordable than both ColonBroom and SkinnyFit Detox, making it the better value.
My Pros and Cons
ColonBroom
● Pros: ColonBroom has a pleasant, fruity taste and is easy to take daily. It’s mainly psyllium husk fiber, so it helps with regularity and keeps bloating down. I like that it’s gentle enough for everyday use without any cramping or urgency—perfect if you’re just looking for mild digestive support.
● Cons: For the price, I was expecting more. ColonBroom is really just a fiber supplement and doesn’t provide the deep cleanse or reset I sometimes need. It’s effective for keeping things regular, but it’s too mild to be marketed as a “colon cleanse,” in my opinion.
SkinnyFit Detox
● Pros: SkinnyFit Detox has a blend of herbs like dandelion, senna, and matcha, and I like that it’s a tea, which feels soothing to drink. It’s mild, and if I’m just looking for a light boost to my digestion, it does the trick.
● Cons: The problem with SkinnyFit Detox is the low doses. Most of the ingredients are in a proprietary blend, so it’s hard to tell what’s actually in there. Plus, the tea itself is expensive for what you get, especially since it doesn’t provide the powerful cleanse effect I want from a product at this price point.
Why I Rate Slam Dump As The Best In This Category
Higher, More Effective Doses - What I love about Slam Dump is that it doesn’t skimp on ingredients. Unlike ColonBroom, which is just psyllium fiber, and SkinnyFit, with its weak herbal blend, Slam Dump contains higher doses of effective ingredients like psyllium husk, cascara sagrada, and senna leaf. These ingredients are all in substantial amounts, which means I get a real, noticeable cleanse that leaves me feeling lighter and more refreshed.
Natural and Gentle Formula - Slam Dump isn’t just about fiber and laxatives—it also includes soothing herbs like aloe vera and licorice root. I’ve noticed that these ingredients help reduce any discomfort or bloating during the cleanse, something I didn’t get with either ColonBroom or SkinnyFit. It’s all-natural, too, which I appreciate, and it feels less harsh than some of the more intense cleanses I’ve tried.
Better Value for Money - Slam Dump gives me a more thorough cleanse at a fraction of the cost of ColonBroom and SkinnyFit. Not only is it more affordable, but it also includes a probiotic to support long-term gut health, which neither of the others offer. For the price, I feel like I’m getting a more complete product that does everything I want a colon cleanse to do—and then some.
Final Thoughts
After trying ColonBroom and SkinnyFit Detox, I can say that while both are decent for light digestive support, they’re not worth the price for a true cleanse. ColonBroom is really just an overpriced fiber supplement, and SkinnyFit Detox doesn’t provide the potency I’d expect from a “detox” tea.
Slam Dump 15-Day Mega Cleanse has been a much better choice for me. With higher doses of effective, natural ingredients, a balanced formula, and a more affordable price, it’s everything I look for in a colon cleanse. For anyone wanting a real reset without breaking the bank, Slam Dump is definitely the way to go.
