I fired her because of this...
Hey Supercharged Entrepreneurs,
My company Supercharged Entrepreneurs is closing down.
Actually, you could call it more of a major rebrand.
New name, new logo, the whole nine yards.
It's a big transition, and I've been on the hunt for the right brand specialist to help me nail it.
I'll share details about this soon but first I want you to know that yesterday, something happened that has an important lesson for you (and me).
Yesterday a friend of mine reached shared a contact of his who's a brand designer.
Great, right?
We connected over imessage and I asked her what's the process to move forward.
She told me that first we have a consulting call about it.
I called her right away because I want this done fast because Money Loves Speed!
She didn't answer the phone but texted me back to say she's running errands and will call me back in 20 mins.
No problem.
But then came the first red flag.
She called me back 50 mins later.
NOT 20mins.
On the call, we hashed out the details, and I was ready to roll.
She said she couldn't deliver the logo and brand kit for 4 weeks.
4 weeks Entrepreneurs!
In today's fast-paced business world, that's an eternity!
I told her I can wait 1 week MAXIMUM.
She said we can make some shortcuts to make it 1 week.
Cool.
After we agreed on the price, she promised to send over the onboarding form right away.
And that's where the real trouble started.
I waited.
10 minutes, 20 minutes, 30 minutes.
No form.
I shot her a text, only to find out she'd stepped out for lunch at 1 PM and would send it when she got home.
4.5 hours later, still no form!
That's when it hit me Entrepreneurs.
If this designer couldn't even onboard me with a sense of urgency, how could I expect her to deliver my brand assets on time?
I couldn't.
So I went with a different provider.
And wouldn't you know it, as soon as I paid and onboarded with the new designer, I got the original designer's invoice.
My response?
"Sorry, money loves speed, and the money has moved on."
Now, why am I sharing this with you, Entrepreneurs?
Because as coaches and entrepreneurs, we need to embody that same sense of urgency!
When you close a client, collect that payment immediately, even if it's just a deposit.
Then, deliver value ASAP.
This not only prevents buyer's remorse but also sets the tone for a relationship built on speed and results.
In the race to $1M months, every second counts.
You can't afford to let slow processes or lackadaisical partners hold you back.
