Let's be real. Your SAT score isnāt just about hours of study. Itās about how you approach your prepāand that starts with your mindset.
Iāve been there. Feeling stuck, overwhelmed, even frustrated. But when I made these mindset shifts, everything started to click, and my score went from 1250 all the way to 1520. Hereās how you can do it too.
- "Iām bad at this" ā "How can I improve?" Stop labeling yourself. Start asking how to get better. I used to think Iād never get math down. Then I focused on one type of question at a time, and it made all the difference.
2. "Iāll never get a high score" ā "Iām in control of my progress" The SAT isnāt a mystery; itās a skill you can build. When I realized that improvement is in my hands, I started tackling practice tests with purposeāand saw real progress.
3. "I canāt make mistakes" ā "Mistakes are my best teachers" Every mistake reveals a gap you can fill. Embrace them. I used to get discouraged by every wrong answer. Then I started studying them. My score? It went up.
4. "The SAT defines me" ā "The SAT is a stepping stone" The SAT is important, but it doesnāt define your worth or your future. Think of it as a tool for reaching your goals. Once I viewed the SAT as just one part of my journey, the pressure eased, and my confidence grew.
Hereās the deal: shifting your mindset isnāt just about āpositive thinking.ā Itās about opening yourself up to growth and possibilities.
Challenge: pick one of these shifts, commit to it, and see how your approach changes over the next 30 days. Which shift will you make? Let me know in the comments of this post! I'd love to help you :)
Remember, your score can only grow to the extent that you do. Are you ready to grow?
