Winter is here 🥶
It's that time of the year again, where depending oh where you live it starts getting cold 👎🏻 Most space heaters are 1500w , which would be more than enough to keep a small space warm, like fishing shack or a shed, maybe storage container 🤷🏻‍♂️ But what would it take to setup the solar to sustain running a heater like that and possibly have a bit of an extra energy for lights 🤔 Would anyone be intrested in kits that provide that flexibility? It might be in high demand. Just when people don't think about these options and don't want to do the research the opt for other options. We can use this thread for doing math 🧮 on calculations and leave links to ready to go kits and / or components for setups like this.

How do I build my own Solar Panel Kit? What do I need? All right here
First of all, what is your solar panel system for? To run a microwave? Power your TV and or Your internet modem? For this exercise, lets say that we are gonna power a TV. Now how many watts does your TV require to run properly? It also matters what kind of Sine wave you are gonna power your devices on. We will need pure sine wave. To match the frequency of your TV. To be fair lets say your TV runs on 200 watts of power. It could be less, but if we plan for that. It will work no problem. List of materials: - Piece of Plywood 2 ft by 4 ft. or a box to place your Solar kit in. This is your choice. - 200 watt Solar Panel or 2 - 100 Watt Solar Panels - Solar Wire Extensions with male and Females Connectors if needed. - Solar Charge Controller (matches your battery Type) - #14 AWG Solid Copper Wire or higher. #12 AWG Solid Copper Wire would work as well. - Battery 12 V Sealed Lead Acid (Cheaper) or 12 V LiFePo4 (last longer) either at 100 amps - 12 V Terminal Battery Connectors - #2 AWG Copper Wire or #1 AWG Aluminum Wire, Stranded is more common and cheaper. - 12V to 120 V Pure Sine Wave Inverter with ground or bond connection. Here is a basic List. Comment for any questions
