Struggling with prompts? You’re not alone. Here’s how I’m turning it around.

Focus on the details. Set the scene. Add dynamic elements. No more hair-pulling.

Let’s conquer this beast. Create quality images and scripts in half the time.

Here’s what I’m still learning:

✅ 𝗞𝗡𝗢𝗪 𝗬𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗚𝗢𝗔𝗟

Start with a clear vision. Know what you want. Are you generating an image, writing text, or something else? Nail down your target.

Example: Instead of saying, “Create an image,” say, “Create an image of a warrior standing on a battlefield at dawn.”

Remember your audience. Tailor the prompt to fit their needs. It makes a difference.

Example: If your audience is kids, instead of “A complex machine,” say, “A colorful robot with big, friendly eyes.”

✅ 𝗕𝗘 𝗦𝗣𝗘𝗖𝗜𝗙𝗜𝗖

Details matter. If it’s an image, include the setting, mood, time of day, and key elements. For text, lock in the tone, style, and key phrases. Be clear. Vague is weak.

Example: Don’t say, “A car on a road.” Say, “A red sports car speeding down a winding mountain road at sunset.”

✅ 𝗨𝗦𝗘 𝗗𝗘𝗦𝗖𝗥𝗜𝗣𝗧𝗜𝗩𝗘 𝗟𝗔𝗡𝗚𝗨𝗔𝗚𝗘

Paint a vivid picture. Use rich adjectives and sensory details. Go beyond the basics. How does it feel, smell, or sound?

Example: Instead of “A city street,” say, “A bustling city street filled with the aroma of fresh bread and the sound of distant jazz.”

✅ 𝗦𝗘𝗧 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗦𝗖𝗘𝗡𝗘

Context is king. Provide background details like environment, era, or atmosphere. If characters are involved, describe them clearly.

Example: “In a medieval village, a blacksmith hammers away in his smoky forge while villagers bustle around the market.”

✅ 𝗜𝗡𝗖𝗢𝗥𝗣𝗢𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗘 𝗔𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗦

Add movement. Describe actions or interactions. Bring energy and life to your prompt.

Example: “A surfer rides a giant wave, carving through the water as the sun sets behind him.”

✅ 𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗡𝗞 𝗔𝗕𝗢𝗨𝗧 𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗣𝗢𝗦𝗜𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡

Frame the shot. Mention perspective, layout, or how elements should be arranged. Keep it tight.

Example: “A close-up of a knight’s weathered hand gripping a sword hilt, with a blurred battlefield in the background.”

✅ 𝗦𝗘𝗧 𝗚𝗨𝗜𝗗𝗘𝗟𝗜𝗡𝗘𝗦

Define your boundaries. Specify color schemes, formats, or anything to avoid.

Example: “A noir-style black-and-white portrait with sharp contrast and deep shadows.”

✅ 𝗜𝗡𝗖𝗢𝗥𝗣𝗢𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗘 𝗦𝗧𝗬𝗟𝗘 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗠𝗢𝗢𝗗

Name your style. Specify the artistic style or emotional tone. Nail it down.

Example: “A dreamy, pastel-colored landscape with soft, flowing shapes reminiscent of a children’s storybook.”

✅ 𝗘𝗫𝗣𝗘𝗥𝗜𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗜𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗘

Test, tweak, repeat. Don’t stop until it’s just right.

Example: Start with, “A moonlit forest,” and refine it to, “A moonlit forest with glowing mushrooms and fog swirling at the base of ancient trees.”

✅ 𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗬 𝗖𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗩𝗘

Think big. Combine unusual elements. Creativity wins.

Example: “A flying pirate ship navigating through a sky filled with floating islands and massive, fluffy clouds.”

✅ 𝗕𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗞 𝗜𝗧 𝗗𝗢𝗪𝗡

Tackle complexity. Break it into smaller parts. Describe them step-by-step.

Example: First, describe “a dark alley with dripping water pipes,” then, “place a shadowy figure at the far end, walking slowly toward the camera.”

✅ 𝗕𝗔𝗟𝗔𝗡𝗖𝗘 𝗗𝗘𝗧𝗔𝗜𝗟 𝗪𝗜𝗧𝗛 𝗕𝗥𝗘𝗩𝗜𝗧𝗬

Keep it focused. Don’t overload. Stick to what’s essential.

Example: Instead of “A vast, complex city with thousands of buildings, streets, and people,” say, “A busy city street with towering skyscrapers and a crowd of people rushing by.”

✅ 𝗨𝗦𝗘 𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗣𝗔𝗥𝗜𝗦𝗢𝗡𝗦 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗠𝗘𝗧𝗔𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗥𝗦

Analogies are your ally. Use them to describe complex ideas in a simple way.

Example: “The sky is like a canvas of pink and gold, painted by the last rays of the setting sun.”
