I love to Problem Solve
Hi! I'm Lisa Ketring, founder and Chief Visionary Officer of Skipidee
A little bit about me - being much older than most people think and I have a long and very rich reservoir of stories from which to chose, but I have one in particular to share here: I come from an extremely poor background where the culture was dominated by superstition and fear. My dad, an Air Force soldier, rescued my mother from that life. It was a life of packing up and moving every couple of years which gave me lots of exposure to many cultures. However, we always went back to visit my mother's family whenever we could. Those visits made it possible for me to see how their beliefs shaped their world to be what it was. Harsh, hard and rather ugly. I learned early on that reality will shape itself to conform with your beliefs.
Over many years, I used that understanding of beliefs to shape and create the fantastic life I lived - which is where my many stories come from. My belief is what allowed me to become a strategic infosec analyst for B0EING and a Doula/midwife simultaneously. I have empowered countless women to birth beautifully, and helped hundreds of companies secure their information infrastructures. Two vastly diverse things - yet one simple underlying process. That's what I want to teach now and in a community, I would get to experience my love for the interaction and participation of the participant's growth.
I tell this story, because we don't know always how the dots will be connected when they're scattered out in front of us. But looking backward, the trail is littered with bird crumbs that point to where we are currently standing. The trick is to notice the crumbs and then to make a distinction between crumbs and litter.
I hope coming here and joining us is one those dots in your life.
A fun fact about me: I love puzzles and to solve problems. Hit me up if you ever want to brainstorm!
Another quirky thing about me: my kids, friends and family call me Muddy because I throw pottery on the wheel and when the phone would ring or if I needed something I would tell my kids, "can you get that, I'm muddy." So if you call me Muddy, that means you intend on being a friend, lol.
Let's have some fun!
