I have a minor in gerontology and have run senior assisted living and adult day care center and NEVER heard of an "End-Of-Life Doula" until the other day. Think birthing doula but for someone in hospice. They don't do medical care, but they do aid the patient and the family. If it is something you may want to do, check with National End-Of-Life Doula Alliance NEDA. nedalliance.org . They do mention certifications and classes, but it may be something someone could do for side money and turn it into a full-time business eventually.
