Day 3 - Pop up Course: Product Idea Validation
One thing is to have a good idea, and another thing is to know if it is a good business opportunity.
First, you want to really consider what platform you intend to sell on. Each platform has its own set of success rules.
If you plan to sell on Amazon, these are the success rules to follow:
  1. Relevant Keywords with Demand: Are there descriptive keywords with at least 8-10k monthly search volume combined?
  2. Pricing: Are most of my competitors selling for $15 or more? πŸ’²
  3. Market: Are at least three competitors making over $5k monthly? πŸ“ˆ
  4. Avoiding Sharks: Are the main competitors making over $100k a month or have thousands of reviews? 🦈 We want to avoid a market dominated by these "sharks." Competing with one is fine, but more than 2-3 can be problematic.
  5. Unique Value: Can we add value to the market and offer something unique? 🌟
