For the love of rucking...
Hey everyone, glad to be here! Started rucking mid '23 after reading "The Comfort Crisis" and listening to Peter Attia. I'm 60 and looking for longevity! I started with an old Gold's Gym 20 lb adjustable weight vest. Wanted to make sure I liked it before spending money. Believe I started with 8 pounds and slowly increased by 2 pounds. A few months ago I picked up a RUSH 12 from 5.11 along with 20 and 10 pound plates. I'm now doing 33 lbs including the pack on 4 mile rucks(3-4 times per week) in the regional park near my house. My normal pace is around 13.5 mins per mile and there is a total of 500 ft vertical on the route. Happy to join this online community and looking to join a local community here in San Diego as well. PS: Just read the contest rules and I'll enter on Thursday, don't really like taking selfies but for a GoRuck plate carrier...I'm in.

Cost effective carriers for plates?
I started rucking with two pound dumbells in my backpack. Then got a 25 pound plate that fits in the laptop sleeve. But is there a better way to carry the plate? The day after I ruck, my lower back kinda hurts. Not sure if I am doing this right.

Rucking101 Intro
Over the past year I have been rucking 2-3 times a week and have been absolutely loving it. It has become one of my favorite past times and hobbies. It might sound dumb that walking around with a weighted backpack is a hobby but it honestly is. The health and mental benefits have been immense. Some days I get after it and go for weight/time PR's. Some days it is more of a flow/mediative ruck where I get a lot of thinking done. It is HARD, mediative exercise and I love it. The only thing that has been missing is a community. BJJ has it, Gym's have it, and now we do. Ruck together from anywhere using Skool! Post your rucks to motivate others and too compete in weekly and monthly competitions to win premium rucking equipment and merchandise. Let's all get after it together!
