I just finished reading a marvelous story about champ Khabib…
Specifically:
It's about his retirement.
When his father (and coach) Abdulmanap passed away in July 2020 (may Allah forgive and have mercy on him) just before his match with Justin Gaethje…Khabib's mother refused to let him fight.
She insisted he doesn't fight without his father.
And after three days of negotiating with his mom she finally let him fight Justin after he promised her to retire after that match. And in October 2020 Khabib defeated Justin by submission after he put him in a triangle choke in the second round.
And after the match Khabib said some wonderful words….
“She doesn't want me to go fight without my father, but I promised her this is going to be my last fight”..”I give my words and I have to follow this”...”It was my last fight here”
This paragraph alone contains one of the most important lessons on manhood…and on Islam too.
(I.e. Sticking to the words you said)
No one including me and you are sticking to what he says.
If not, this won't be our situation.
How many of us said he is going to do something and didn't stick to it?!
Me, I did that…and you too (admit it.)
Anyways…I'm not here to advise you..as I need to advise myself first!
But if you found this interesting then you'd absolutely love the emails I share on a daily basis.
See you soon,
InshaAllah,
Omer.
